  1. Posted it this morning.. Should be with you in 3 to 5 working days.
  2. Well Expansys tried every trick in the book to get me to close the PayPal case against them. After initially stating that it was against company policy to refund for broken items unless it was reported within 24 hours of arrival, they changed their minds and offered to take the phone back, but i would not get a refund until at least 30 days later... Not Acceptable!! Today was their deadline for responding to PayPal with their side of the story. They even sent a courier to my house yesterday, unannounced to collect the phone, but of course i was at work. Today i logged into PayPal and sew a "Reversal from Expansys for 295.98" - so a good result a full refund! However, there is no mention of returning the phone... i'll sit tight and wait for Expansys to figure out that i now have a free phone.... A top result for the "little guy". Never let these huge companies walk all over you. Know your consumer rights and stick to them in the knowledge that the law is on your side, despite the ridiculous "company policy" that have no basis in UK law that these corporate giants try to bully you into believing. In the meantime i bought the missus a phone for 130quid which shes totally happy with, so that means im about 170 quid better off than i would have been I'll be publishing the complete email trail shortly. its amusing to see them squirm!
  3. does it feel like someone is hitting the kill switch momentarily? if so, its probably electrical.
  4. just what i was thinking... Upload so pics. My cat poos in the garden and buries it. my labrador then goes and digs it up and eats it.
  5. Not had a chance to post it yet... will post it Saturday morning
  6. Ive got a Mobius action camera. its the ideal small size and shape to fit just above the rear view mirror. can be configured to start recording when the power comes on and stop when the power goes off. https://www.mobius-actioncam.com/features/
  7. The "T" in CBT stands for Training. The "B" is for Basic. Its not a test, its training. You can't expect everyone to be expert riders after one training session. Regardless of what's she's capable of now, she's completed her Basic Training and is legal to ride so get her to a car park and drum the basics of bike control into her. Once she's mastered the basics then you can move onto the road.
  8. yep, before long i'll have turned a perfectly good sports bike into some kind of hideous sports/adventure bike mutant with massive metal cases!! LOL
  9. thanks for the offer... I'm thinking way too deeply about this, now. I'm always up for a challenge, but brand new Givi panniers would cost a fortune.. and might not work. However, do you think i could buy these and modify them? grinder, welder and black paint. job done. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NORMAN-HYDE-G ... 5b0ce5cde1 Do you know if all Givi boxes have the same fitting? If i could get this to work, i could then invest in the cool looking black metal ones.
  10. Actually, the more i think about it, the more i think a pair of black Givi Trekkers would look cool on a black sportsbike: http://media.givi.it/XN-Prodotti/foto/TRK33B.jpg they dont make a fitting kit for my bike though (plus they cost too much)
  11. Come on down for a ride out and a garage sale.
  12. you gonna be selling all your good stuff??
  13. Be so tempting to leave items on the car to mask off rude shapes... So the masked off bits wouldn't get any light and wouldn't glow at night.
  14. yeah, but i think my teenage years as a pizza delivery boy have given me some kind of hang up about luggage racks on bikes! yep, slow day at the office so plenty of time to over-think things!! just reading the SW Motech site: http://www.motohaus.com/acatalog/SW_Mot ... _Sets.html And the clamps attach to the rear footpegs holes in the subframe, so no need to have rear foot pegs on the bike (i've taken mine off as i've replaced the rear seat with cowl)
  15. yeah, problem with the Ventura system (and its purely vanity) is that i would need to fit a luggage rack on the back of my bike - not a great look for a sports bike only when you are using it you can remove it when not in use! realistically how often are you going to use it? Not often at all.. probably spent more time looking into them than they will be on the bike Panniers would be nice, but i'm worried that without the metal supports, the thin tail section would mean they would swing into the back wheel. The Hepco&Becker stuff looks look excellent quality and solve the "swingy-ness" problem by using a metal frame that bolts to the footpegs. The Ventura system requires a metal luggage rack that doesnt look quick to add/remove. So I'm kind of swinging towards a big tail pack that i can just sling on the bike when needed. The Kriega stuff seems to be well regarded by forum members... the Kriega US30 (£95) looks good: http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server400/de086/products/75/images/984/Kriega_US30_fitting_universal_waterproof_motorcycle_tail_pack__93490.1410988059.178.241.jpg?c=2 The 50litre SW-Motech bag looks good too (£140): http://shop.sw-motech.com/cosmoshop/pix/a/z/bc.hta.00.306.10000/g/bc_hta_00_306_10000_zusatz_10.jpg But then it' about the same price as the Givi tailbag, but the Givi is 60 litres. http://images2.revzilla.com/product_images/0090/4650/givi_xs305_x_stream_tail_pack_zoom.jpg

  17. cheers, yes ive seen those. I like the fact they have the metal bars to stop the bags flapping about into the rear wheel.
  18. I found some nice luggage on eBay made by Krauser. i looked on the Krauser website, and they say if you cant find your bike to look on the http://www.krauser.de/bike.php?language=2 Hepco&Becker site! So i might need to retract my previous statement that the Hepco&Becker stuff looks too old school....
  19. you could always attach some big lumps of Zinc to your bike - that's what they do in the boating world. The only flaw to the plan is that you would need to keep your bike submerged in water for it to work...
  20. So many choices! I have a Givi tank bag thats im pretty pleased with, so i was about to order the Givi 305 tail pack: http://images2.revzilla.com/product_images/0090/4650/givi_xs305_x_stream_tail_pack_zoom.jpg Something Phil said made me look how it was attached around the back, and realised I might have problems because ive replaced the stock numberplate holder with a tail tidy that raises the plate and indicators up where they might get in the way.
  21. Life changing stuff!! Well done for taking the plunge and following your dreams. Not many would have the balls to do what you're doing. Will have to sneak in a couple of rideouts before you leave.
  22. You moving overseas like you were talking about?
  23. Yes I was looking at Renntech too. What stops them flapping about into the back wheel?? The hepco and Becker look a little old school.. Need to find some more pics before I decide if I like them or not. Givi do a big tailpack thing that looks good. http://media.givi.it/XN-Prodotti/foto/BMW%20S1000RR_XS305.jpg
  24. Ironically the bloke in the photo is riding Phil's bike!! That made me chuckle as I walked past. Its the reason I took the photo actually. Lol
  25. Planning to buy some luggage. Found these: http://www.autokicker.com/products/moto ... agkit.html http://www.autokicker.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/964x500/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/c/o/conq97.jpg Anyone got any of this AutoKicker gear? is it any good?
