Sounds like it should all work out well in the end then.. My NOTD was actually the police patrol car last night. I was coming back from seeing my mum for mothers day when I had a police car sat right on my back bumper. Had I not have had the missus and baby in the car I might have slammed on the brakes and got a new car out if it.. He was really that close!! But instead I chose to slow right down to 35mph in a national speed limit zone and squirt load of screen wash on my windscreen and headlights knowing it would get him as well.. I was really hoping he would pull me over so I could shout at him for driving so close, but he didnt.. When he turned off I floored it and he was wearing hi-viz jacket which makes him a double nob.

silicone sealant - lots of if! Apply it all over the threads and once the bolt is in, add some more to stop it turning... wont last forever, but so long as you have some threads left it will last a short while.

How did you pay for it? If its not as described and you paid with credit card or finance then you have extra buyer protection.

Yep the double bubbles work. I had the same problem. Huge tank bag means I can't duck down behind the stock screen so I fitted a power bronze DB screen which works a treat. Theres a thread on here somewhere about it.

Are you not taking any lessons?? They teach you to pass the test, not how to ride. So even if you can ride you might not pass the test..

is it just the single bolt at the top holding it on? with that removed, the cover might just slip down behind the shift linkage..

yep, and count the number of turns off, so that you can turn it back on the same number of turns! also make sure you get the linkage back on the same splines.. so mark with a marker pen before you remove (if not too late!)

Thats a lock nut. so with the fiddly bit removed, slacken off the lock nut, then hold the shift linkage and unscrew the balljoint from the end of the shaft. The shaft has flat spots on, so you should be able to get a spanner on there.

looks like the ball joints will pop off if you get a lever behind them. cant see anything holding them on.

people who stop dead in the middle of the road when they see and ambulance/fire engine coming. I had one yeterday, i was following some little crap-mobile, it went around a couple of parked car, and there was plenty of room for me to follow, until the crap-mobile saw an ambulance way off in the distance and stopped dead, leaving me and the two cars behind me stuck on the wrong side of the road!! I actually resorted to overtaking the crap-mobile!!

additionally, if im passing another biker (on a dual carriageway or motorway etc) i give them a thumbs up as i pass..

at 16 years old you are perfectly free to ride a pushbike on the road without any training. you take a CBT and you can then ride a slightly faster moped. do 16 year old's really need more than the current CBT? Or is the problem with older people taking a CBT and jumping onto a (faster than a moped) 125cc bike? Back when i took my CBT, i did the CBT on the saturday and was riding my 50cc bike to school the following monday. nobody ever considered i needed more training...
