I've got a GPS tracker in mine. The bike sends me a text message or phones me when it moves away from its regular parking space. No need to carry another device. It can also be wired as a remote kill switch. Send one text and the bike shuts down. I've not wired that in yet. About 50/60quid for the unit and a 5quid per month mobile simcard on the giffgaff network. -

No worries mate. Didn't want you to have to leave your bike there overnight and risk someone finding the keys and taking it!! You did well to be back by 2am.. I beat my satnav back by 10mins and was home just before 1am. Was good to give the big audi a nighttime thrashing through the fog! Oh and what did that biker have to say who came over to chat just as I was leaving?? -

I think we've discovered we're all shit at finding keys... This is true. Should have searched the kids in McDonalds... I just hope whoever found the key wasnt waiting for us all to leave before calling in his mates with a truck and carting the bike away.... -

Care to elaborate?..... 8bikes started, only three left the halfway check point together. 4bikes got lost and needed to phone in, one bike went home before the halfway point, and one rider lost his keys so his bike is still there!! -

Various types of stud extractor - might be able to get one to grab the bolt. Else chisel it round, or file it square and get a socket on it. Drilling would be my last resort.

Whack in an oversized allen key first and see if you can get it to turn..

Does the top right bolt need to come off to remove the cover?

Haha good point!! In which case you might want to hammer in a larger allen key and try that.. As you said before... How did they change the cables?? Or have they just poked then under the cover to make it look like they changed them?

Forgot to say, you could try hammering on a socket that's a bit small. An old imperial size socket could do the trick. Hammer it on so it's good and tight, then with the exhaust hot, give it a turn...

To get the cover off, I think its only two of the four bolts. One looks like it's already gone (bottom right), so that just leaves the top left one.
