    Headlight range.

Are the spotlights wired to the high beam? That's way they won't dazzle other cars.
  2. wire them in using a relay so they can only be on when the ignition is on. Measure the voltage at the battery with the bike running, grips on, and all the lights on. So long as the voltage is still over about 13volts you'll be fine.
  3. Yep, he's not the ideal choice, but he's a change from the normal mass produced politicians with no actual experience of anything outside of politics and country clubs. Trump has a huge investment portfolio spanning many US companies and many non-US companies. Clinton just seems to take cash from arms companies and companies who are contracted to rebuild overseas countries after the US has been there and blown them up. Doing "what's right for Trump" will naturally mean doing what's right for his investments and that will benefit the US economy..... Short term. The longer term effects are the real unknown.
  4. Trump has spent his life doing whatever was necessary for his own personal gain. No matter who he screwed over in the process. A country shouldn't be run like a corporation Actually they should with the people as the shareholders... If countries had shareholders to answer to and growth and profit targets, they would be hugely more efficient and less wasteful than how the politicians run countries.
  5. Clinton has spent her whole life perfecting the art of being a slippery politician. Whereas Trump is a businessman with some excellent business advisors. America is in a mess in many ways, and it needs a good shakeup, so a slippery politician who only protects here own interests probably isn't as good a choice as a businessman with radical ideas to actual make some difference... The last 20 or so years have seen career politicians come and go, and nothing radical has changed. The people are sick of how career politicians run the place. They want change. Trump, as much as we all dislike him, may actually be the out of the box, fresh thinking, lunatic with nothing really to lose that America needs to shake it up. I believe that's what the public think too and that's why he was voted in. No doubt trump will do some crazy stuff, but crazy isn't bad. Here in the uk, we could benefit from a proper radical shakeup, but we are never going to get it whilst these career politicians who all come from the exact same background keep getting elected into power.
  6. Yep, get out on a road where you're the slowest vehicle and you'll soon start to increase speed and keep up with the flow. When moving with other vehicles your speed won't seem so high.
  7. Something not right if voltage drops with increased revs.. get the readings and let's see.
  8. Bulbs don't care which way round they are wired up. What voltage do you see at the battery with the engine running?
  9. Where did you take the power for the lights from? You put twin lights on, maybe pulling too much current from the rectifier.
  10. Well it was chaos on the trading desk today. Traders up all night hedging their positions and emergency announcements televised across the company from senior management. Great fun for me to be so close to the action - we should do it more often
  11. Strange world in which we live... I actually think he might do some good. Hillary would have just continued the status quo that keeps her and her people in a comfortable lifestyle. Trump is hopefully going to shake the place up and make some changes. He's got balls and he's not afraid to rock the boat. We could do with some ballsy politicians here in the uk. All of ours are useless...
  12. I knew I should have put some money on a trump victory... Can't wait to see him riding about on his new nuclear submarine!
  13. Me to .... He can't though.... can he Lots of closet trump supporters out there who won't publically admit to voting for him... So basically anything could happen.
  14. Haha, I actually want him to win just to prove what a shambles the good ol' U S of A really is.
  15. I never knew this was a thing!! http://handanalysis.com/fingers_short.html
  16. Two identical number plates and a quick phone call, and you could generate a speeding ticket with an average speed of 1000mph!
  17. Mystery solved!! Haha
  18. Whats it on? Audi A6 quattro. the winter tyres make a huge difference.
  19. Doubt it will undo wheel nuts, but time will tell Thats my big test.. wheel nuts are something like 95ft/lbs or 130Nm so if its really capable of 180Nm it should do the job.. but I'll keep the windy tool on standby just incase
  20. Dewalt version shattered 2 snap on sockets so far.... Im expecting good results from the Fatmax. its rated at 180nm of torque which is higher than most others i've seen. I'll be giving it a good test when i swap my car over to winter tyres soon.
  21. Ok, so i might have gone a little overboard on the bargain tools... I bought the drill first, then the saw, then decided i had to have the impact driver, but it came with a another drill. So if anyone wants a brand new drill with two brand new batteries and brand new charger, let me know...
  22. Players are allowed tattoos and ridiculous hair cuts, so why not something that shows they have a little respect like a poppy?
  23. ok, all starting to make sense now... Homebase bought out by australian DIY chain Bunnings.. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jan/18/australian-diy-brand-bunnings-to-launch-in-uk-after-homebase-deal" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; this is the types of tools im starting to see in my local Hombase store: https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range/tools" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; all good news!!
  24. yep, i bought a 18v Stanley fatmax cordless hammer drill for about 55quid, then today they had the oscillating tool going cheap. only one left... just 36quid - how could i resist??
  25. so they are all the same then?? clever marketing! I never used to bother with homebase, but seems its now a great place to buy tools - much more variety than halfords next door.. probably not as good as halfords, but for casual use, the homebase stuff looks fine, and they have some really funky tools that halfords would never sell. im a sucker for bargain tools!
