  1. . I read what you said but in my twisted mind this is whow I pictured it above. They must be giver's not takers thats why they ran. sorry i wont twist it any more. What makes you so sure it was the husband??. must of been first timers, they didnt stick around to finish. im desperate to say more but i think youll ban me.
  2. Im just waiting for the reply, their black and round thats all the jargon u need to know
  3. Sold it before taking a test? Slightly unusual. Maybe gone back to scooter? Hopefully back with news later on?
  4. (S**t) Bridgestones and a (blanket) fire pit... Dogging spots are more common and more welcome than a "noisy" bike greening. So to be correct the name tag of "pilot" road stopped after number 4, then it was just called ROAD 5 & ROAD 6.
  5. Definitely wasnt me on the flintstones...you saw something made of rubber.
  6. Ok I'll leave it there.
  7. Not sure if we're looking at the same picture or its the perception. Even with the not best picture it has actually squared noticeably but not the worst ive seen to be honest. Wear is quite good for a technical Michelin though i can still see a Slight lipping on the back edge of the tread past the crown all the way down, uneven hills/dips at the 1/11 and at the 2/10 oclock. again not bad wear and not the worst ive seen but improvements can be made. Hows the front? when you change those tyres you'll notice a difference for the better.
  8. Woo not so fast Granty... dont forget to take your new pisspot with you! Nope i'll being doing owt i can to keep u lot on ur toes!
  9. Legally you could of carried on. but morally no? if you're not comfortable with barely tiptoes, you'll possibly hurt yourself and knock ur confidence. the schools insurance would question the decision of the instructor to let you ride if you hurt yourself or really damaged the bike if they have to claim. youve got to remember that the instructor is responsible and liable to you and your actions while you're on their bike and at there school. Possible the 125 could of had rear preload and turned it out. Yeah find another school, explain your height and if they have a bike for your requirements would be the best thing.
  10. So Bender is in the "group" if there is a button to press... it shall be pressed! While we're on it...Hey overlord "push" "push" two others recent posts may classify too?
  11. Some other brands do it if they are closer to you like bks/ft, rst etc. they class as their custom fit or race dept. you can expect over 1/4 more on price compared to off the peg items before options but if you cant find owt that will fit due to "unique" body it will be worth it.
  12. Ouch... sorry to hear that. thats abit worse than a-bit above the speed limit im afraid. The fine will be abit more too unless you get summoned, then bets are off. Uve got to declare that and might be limited to a specialist insurer for the near future for a time.
  13. Sorry but thats the advice of experience. Now Just to be clear and i would would advise against it but you do see people do it especially flip front helmets. you could still use the helmet at slow speeds in summer on hot days, just with your glasses as its nothing illegal about it but just not the best idea as glasses are not impact resistant or particularly shatterproof if a stone gets fired at you.. Yes to a point but not entirely, if the helmet brand was bigger with better stocking it wouldnt be aproblem. if you go with a better known brand (Ft,hjc, lazer, nolan, ls2, mt to name a few) youll have a better chance of spares if you go breaking it again. avoid fancy tat and stick with their budget range which to be honest aint bad but you would be just pay a lot more for less returns on the product you paid for. its more like make sure your buying into something that you know what to expect out of it.
  14. Funny comments before!! Its no, cars and bikes are different, at least with a car you can grab the wheel, pull on the handbrake. On the bike even if your directly behind how the hell are you gonna reach the brakes or stop a whiskey throttle?? Even just trying to grab hold of the arms will likely just be as bad... you push or pull will just make him jerk the thottle or grab the brake, rather than one person down you make it two. Plus adding another sack of spuds to a tiny light weight bike makes it handle like a a drunk dancing on a dingy. When i passed my cbt I didnt want to have anyone on the back for their responsibility let alone my own with 10yrs of car driving experience before me, hell even after i passed my full license for a few months....id still be paying for their counselling to this day! It just doesn't make sense.
  15. Also to note you will have to serve the notice/ ban length before you can reapply then it will still be on you licence for years as the same duration as if you had a full one and stay on your new one when you pass until the anniversary date of the points to be removed. All points bolched on your license can be removed for a fee after 4years from memory unless court decides otherwise. You will have to tell your insurance of your naughty deeds if they ask about it generally upto 5years after conviction. so guessing its just youve been caught speeding twice so soon? Or is it for worse?
  16. Sorry i had to laugh at that statement... its like an old joke allover again! Poor Hornets... just to make it clear cos someone will spam an outrage at me for it, not to do discredit or say its a bad bike even of the previous releases of them.
  17. I assumed it was all above board. Well there you go...if tou go beyond what it was rated for you are just asking for trouble, if it hadn't been subjected to that and it had done it with correctly set up then id be questioning it. Not Avons fault then just the users. For the road even track day Avons are ok, but as you say irrational prejudice... I guess if i was gonna make a quip would be Avons would be like the lotus colin chapmans era, make to pass but no more.... to make it clear the bar is very high these days!!! id still buy Avon over bridgestones any day...couldn't give them to me for free.
  18. Road helmets like that You may struggle to find ones that will fit inside like a motorcrosser as the aperture is very narrow and closed in near the eys /temples plus adding glasses. to fit over it it would need to be massive and very flexible to fit around the contour of the helmet even then id think it wouldnt seal well. By the time you've spent looking and checking what may fit you might be better off looking for a spare helmet from a better known brand with better availability of parts.
  19. your paying twice thats why, virgin for the internet then bt for a sport subscription, if you wanted bt sport the only cheap way was to have bt internet as you supplier as its included. i would be grudgingly go to bt even if they were the last ever supplier in the uk, then then ill be keeping an very close eye out for their evil scheming ways!! Could already have??? I looked a month ago..£40-50PM!!! I pay less than that for full year of eurosport even then i wouldn't pay that just to watch motogp.
  20. For the delaminate, one likely possible to do with pressure and heat control, if the rubber its self is super heated almost to spot areas but the carcass is cold that can cause it.
  21. As I've mentioned in another thread there are load of options in the golden era of tyres, with each manufacturer that make a tyre they think will work for their customer. its just acase of understanding what you want/need, how the tyres technology's work to achieve that and if thats correct for the bike and you...you could call it preference. if i was to recommend for sake, didnt know them or newer riders it would be michelins first. just because they're safer as they work very well in all categories and have quite few downsides even to "preferences" like I mentioned before. one of Which could be avoided if they didnt keep changing the models / moulds so often, to make it cheaper.
  22. law is just helmet that is the standard the reg says is the minimum. It advises to wear other protective equipment for your safety but thats up to you if you want to heed that. Yes protection clothing is PPE! so govern by regs to say what level of protection that piece will offer to the buyer. You just have to know what the codes mean and if you are happy to wear what it will offer. on the zip - for comfort etc but its not just the forwards motion it helps for placement during the dragging motion while two parts have different forces applied to it.. its for the hyperextending and twisted motion of when your hips and upper body are at opposite sides like if you roll your upper body will dragg and slow you down more than your legs will so the pulling forces will try to twist the jacket far more than you body and to a lesser extent the legs of the pants which in turn has a high chance of exposing skin to contact with the road... thing is every crash is different and how people rag doll so there is always loads of permutations (sliding head or feet first, tumbling, half dragging) but that is just one example. low sides - front wheel first generally are hands/elbows/shoulders first but with more of a shock impact while feet and hip area follows, more likely to laid down pulling jacket down and pants but the pants will stuggle more to keep in place. Rear wheel first generally the feet then the hip to follows but can be more back biased oriented depending on speed and angle of dismount, which will pull the clothes up thats where the jacket is more likely to struggle to stay in place. high sides are just punishing. racing is one piece leather and pushing towards the airbags. track days is two piece leather with back protection and zips 3/4 minimum. road do what you like, expect the consequences of you choosing if you do have an off or crash. less you wear the more likely a copper may want to chat and give advice about protective clothing. for two piece leather a zipped option of 1/2-3/4s is a good compromise. It won't cost you anything more from the outlay. You dont have to do it if you want but it will always be there if you want to rather than never have the choice. fit is paramount, then safety. If you find a set that fits really well while on the bike but the armour is only level 1 in most cases you can upgrade with the same make or aftermarket versions if the pockets allow for "in some cases" thicker armour level 2.
  23. Yea agree with stu about the washer, if its really cleanly done its as factory but if its looking like its been chewed on it maybe have had attention paid to it previously... for better (trained mechanics) or for worse (bodger). Gremlins .
  24. Hi and welcome stanley. Sometimes when ur old you think back too far.... yes i think i'll guess, as mick said it was about ghat time if not just before that design mostly popular with the french....could of been the one like what you might think of a between/mash up of venom (marvel? I get them mixed up - in coming slap from the misses), ghost and halloween pumpkin faces (early days of michael rinaldi) comes to mind in a modern twist.
  25. its only been out, stock is just not enough yet, next year should be better. a gsx8 and trident faired will be at least two or more years, if it ever happens.
