Guest Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 (edited) After Akey and willows beetle run, and my ride back fom Scotland, I came across some outstanding areas of history, so have decided to think about a Myths and legends run..Meeting points/timesDevils Bridge 1030 - Techno, Jimsoon, and meGulf Petrol Station, Shap Rd Kendal (before Morrisons) 1100-1130, - DragolithThe Crown Pub, Shap 1200-1230 - Wiggleitthe Tour...Shap AbbeyLowther Castle (and the legent of the Lowther Oak tree)George and Dragon Pub, Clifton, (last Battlefield in England)King Arthurs Round Table, CA10 (obv)Hutton in the ForestGreystoke Castle (Legend of Tarzan)Castlerigg Stone Circle, KeswickBridge House, Ambleside (man built a house over river to avoid land tax)Returning through Windermere, and back to Devils Bridge.
