After Akey and willows beetle run, and my ride back fom Scotland, I came across some outstanding areas of history, so have decided to think about a Myths and legends run..

Meeting points/times

Devils Bridge 1030 - Techno, Jimsoon, and me

Gulf Petrol Station, Shap Rd Kendal (before Morrisons) 1100-1130, - Dragolith

The Crown Pub, Shap 1200-1230 - Wiggleit

the Tour...

Shap Abbey

Lowther Castle (and the legent of the Lowther Oak tree)

George and Dragon Pub, Clifton, (last Battlefield in England)

King Arthurs Round Table, CA10 (obv)

Hutton in the Forest

Greystoke Castle (Legend of Tarzan)

Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick

Bridge House, Ambleside (man built a house over river to avoid land tax)

Returning through Windermere, and back to Devils Bridge.

Notts Forest, as much as they might be a Myth/legend to you footy fans are outside of a days riding..

I can meet Techno at Devils, and ride into Kendal, give Dave his beauty sleep (he needs it....!) meet you all somewhere in Kendal..

A bike is for riding Simon not for looking at - so it will be getting used in all weathers!

But it might get a few more washes than the other one :)

Still got your fighter bib as well - and its still attached to the hanger! Will drop it off at the garage next week if your in?

wow wow what've I missed, Andy you got the blade then?

I'm well up for this, I've got back into it!! Would meet simon and techno at devils too, more inresting ride up than the M6 and A590.

Haweswater Reservoir?!? Are you sure? It's a bit of a bone-shaking ride. Lucky i'm working cos i'm never EVER going down that road again on a bike!

I know a good dentist in Kendal who can replace all your teeth when you get back from the ride though.....

nah, i did that run on an ER5 and my mate on his B6, wasn't that bad.. anyway, get back to work...

Wait - I am not taking my baby anywhere dodgy!

While we are at it I would also like to avoid - mud, cattlegrids, puddles, rain, sheep, birds, dave, speed bumps, gravel roads, bumpy roads - well you get the idea :)
