I dont think and doubt we have any rigid plans or eta's.

   Its like a Military operation Gary. We are going behind enemy lines.

We will take casulties and some people will get left behind. :crybaby:

The objective is to get all the Scottish Challenges, in and out within 5 days.

Fortes soli superstites sunt Rodney, Fortes soli superstites sunt. (as Delboy would say)

Cat we are leaving Manchester at 09 00 on the dot heading North for 170 miles then fueling up at Moffat get the tag there and leaving straight away. We are heading for Oban on the first day as well as picking up the Challenges on the way, so its a long day. You're welcome to join in but unfortunatly we won't have time for much of a chat as its almost a 400 mile day for us. Dinner break is planned for Dumbarton.

Let us know what you decide.

Welcome to stop at mine for your dinner break, depending on route

Free lunch, dodgy sat nav. Do you think others would realise.

" I think we're lost lads, Oh wait is that Ratser up there"

Been told the A713 to Ayr is a good road. So might go from Moniaive down the A713 to Ayr A77 back up towards Glasgow/Dumbarton.

A712 through the New Galloway forest is a good road, then head from Newton Stewart to Girvan (A714) which is another cracking road regularly travelled by us.

Wee place called Carsphairn has a lovely wee tea room which is like in a wee house, another regular stop for us which has a road out of it that you can pin your ears back on, leading to Dalmellington.

The Nethercliffe is only a small hotel so early booking would be advisable.

I have booked them all online with late rooms, which have a don't charge a cancellation fee if cancelled 2 days before arriving. Also they don't take the money out of your account until the day you arrive.

Are you able to post your progress and likely times arriving at the tags, say the day before?

Depending on times I would go to either Rannoch Station (Monday) or the Falkirk Wheel (Tuesday) with a flask of coffee and some cake and wait for you. :D
