Adam Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 my nomination goes to the driver of a Range Rover. Sat at lights which you can go left or right, we were both turning right and the lights went green so I started to move off but stopped because I could hear sirens at this point he held his hand on his horn and started revving his v8 engine like a bellend. Lucky I did stop because a doctors car came flying past on the wrong side of the road (mine).Nob Quote
Stu Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 My nobs of the day are The bell end on a 125 tailgating a car about 3 inches off his bumper in the pissing rain which then proceeded to shake his head at the car because he indicated in good time and turned right!! I suspect it will be on YouTube later saying the car is a nob and can't drive!! The best one though was a cyclists! I was overtaking a couple of parked cars coming up to a junction when a car came around and had to stop to let me through the cyclist failed to see the stopped car till last minute and ended up rear ending the car Quote
soll Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 my nomination goes tot he orange s1000rr rider that was in the wrong lane (right turn only) hoping to jump the traffic.only to find the car in front of him stopped dead and he almost hit it.Way to show the new rider how its done. Quote
Joeman Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Way to show the new rider how its done.People learn from thier mistakes, but clever people learn from other people's mistakes Quote
RantMachine Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 NOTD today is me!Rode to work again, but on the other bike this time. First I tried to go down into second instead of up after pulling out of the car park and getting onto the main road. Then I forgot how to chuck the bike around properly, because it handles wildly differently to the other bike. And then I kept trying to cancel my indicators by pushing the switch in the opposite direction. It had all come flooding back by the time I got to work, but getting out of Cambridge was a bit cack-handed Quote
klingelton Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 My NOTD is whichever crapturd at Adobe decided to make it impossible to batch convert PSD files to PNG format while maintaining transparency without adding "copy" to the end of every single file name I now have to go through and manually remove it from 165 files. Cheers Adobe. one word. powershell. Quote

onesea Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I am going to award NOTD to 2 guys on Mountain bikes... So there me and daughter are (her at 8 on first ride on bike with gears) on a Cycle track not on the road... Just getting our confidence up changing gears and 2 Lycra louts come haring along the cycle track shouting "too the left too the left"... Daughter scared moves to the right, luckily I check and join her before two go racing passed. Had we not been coordinated they could not of stopped..... 100 yards up the road we pass a couple with a dog, who are trying to calm it down as having being scared sh1tless by the last bikes wants to attack the next...For the next mile or so all the people we passed where not happy with bikes.... Quote
Hoggs Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I was going to nominate myself for forgetting to turn the fuel back on after reconnecting the tank but I think those idiots above winHope it hasn't spooked your daughter too much Quote
Glorian Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I was going to nominate myself for forgetting to turn the fuel back on after reconnecting the tank We've all done it at one time or another Could be in my shoes where i did it, and the clip that holds the pipe on had just lost all its grip, overnight decided to pop off and dump an entire tank of petrol over my engine! woop woop. Quote
Glorian Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 NOTD goes to the group of 19 year olds who wanted me to run them over.Heading down queen street in colchester on a cut through (bus lanes ftw) turned right to shoot up towards crouch street as i come around the corner about 20, 4 kids have just started to walk as in one step in the road, All see (hear) me coming and stop like deer in headlights, before i shit you not. Carrying on. Well i'm a firm believer in thinning the gene pool of morons. So i just rode at them clutch in throttle open they soon ran back. Quote
Hoggs Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Special mention to the guy in the blue passat who thought it was a great idea to sit a foot behind my back wheel at 50mph on the North circular this morning. I'm very sorry that the fact there was a car (two seconds) in front of me prevented me from going any faster. Also great thinking on undertaking me in the middle lane, shame that van was then in front of you and slowing down for the inevitable Henlys corner traffic. But hey you did make it to the back of the queue 3 seconds before me so well done! Also the fact you pointedly did not look at me as I filtered past looking RIGHT AT YOU makes me think maybe, deep deep down you are aware of what a massive cockweasel you are. Quote
Tango Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Where to start?........The lad on the yzf125r who undertook me and the car in front on the slip road joining the A1 near Barford this morning, single lane slip road.....and we were adjusting our speed to join the main road, and busy watching for a gap to slip into.......didn't need the added complication of having to watch out for this prat too!!Then there was the women in the 2 cars in front f*king about on their phones on the approach to Sterling corner in heavy traffic......and the nob in the car behind with his phone pressed to his ear.........I've come to the conclusion that there's a lot of very rich people about, as the threat of a £1000 fine doesn't deter them...... And then Mr knob end in his BMW X1 that was itching to get past myself and the learner in front on an urban road near Colindale.........It was not as if the learner was below the 30mph limit on the road.........anyway, he eventually blasted past us on the approach to a junction to join the A41 in the righthand lane to then swing a left turn across the front of the learner........class! And I caught up with him at the next set of lights anyway........ Quote
mailee66 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Wait until next month then all the Christmas loonies will be out and about! Think I will stay at home for December. Quote
Glorian Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Add in the ice we'll get soon, as well as the debris on the roads (2 trees on the road this morning) i might start walking the 10 miles to work >.> Quote
Glorian Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I think i am the NOTDStart engine up after much issue. Look at the rubber spark plug covers and notice one has popped off. Fiddle about trying to push it back on. All of a sudden my arm hurts and twitches. Guess my finger must have slipped Oh my, innuendo city. Quote

Fozzie Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 -3 out there today. Took 10 minutes to defrost the car before I set off. There is a heavy frost everywhere, and icy roads.Nob of the day goes to the land rover who tail gated me for a mile or two even though I'm just hovering above speed limit on the clock. Roads are icy after being flooded recently, people come off the winding roads I take to work all the time in Winter. Usually big SUV and teens in bangers who seem to think their car can magically grip on sheet ice. Then an old golf tail gated for a few miles. Sat right on my tail, kept swinging out as if he was looking to overtake. There is a line of traffic just ahead of me. Again I'm doing the speed limit on a dark morning with ice on the roads. I've left a 4-5 second gap. What's wrong with people!? This is why I'm nervous with the bike during winter as you get these nob sacks who thinks the bad conditions don't apply to them. Visibility and grip are lessened, but they remain confident to the point I'm confident they're just stupid. Quote
Hoggs Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Can I nominate the cyclist who was hit by a taxi on Edgware road? Because undertaking a car when coming up to a left hand turn sounds like a great idea http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/23/undertaki ... d-5520021/ Quote

Agreed, altough it does show what type of world we live in these days two points for us to consider. 1. what was the guy that caught it on film, filming anyway?2. is it just me or did he continue to film after the incident rather than go to helpAm i just getting old and cynical? fq-craigus Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I nominate the chavvy golf gti that sat on my bumper for a good few miles in the rain, dark and with all the spray that the a1 lets you leave in your wake. This was actually a week ago but i stand by it Quote

Better snapchat this.Old enough to remember mobile phones being released, and to remember Rabit phones before them anyone else remember Rabbit phones?I know, i know its just such a shame, people would rather film than help, but not only that people are getting so used to filming things these days they dont just stop to watch and make memories rather than films. You know the strange thing i work in IT, i have a Facebook account that i havent logged into for 10+ years, i have a twitter account that i dont use, etc. etc... I am not a fan of this i am going to put my entire life on the internet where everyone can get hold of it, and i certainly believe people should make memories a lot more. ah well, maybe i am just an old G&* but hey ho, Quote
