I was looking at a route that Ollie and Moo could have taken....You dont need to avoid motorways but they do......whatever........

 

I wasn't saying you were wrong, I said I would be there in 2 hours, I never laid out a route

That said when I hit avoid highways it still took the A1, just missed the motorway stints and was about the same time

Moo mentioned maybe meeting up with Tango and Bonniebird, if she wants to do that I am happy to and follow whatever route

 

The A16 route I looked at on Google maps was only 2hrs 12mins - A bit longer if we detour to get more of the twisty bit at the end and do the old A1 out of huntingdon at the start. Still probably only 2 and a half though (assuming NSL )

the stretch of the A15 from bourne to sleaford is a good road. you must be thinking of the A15 north of lincoln which is not, seeing how its one of the longest stretches of staight road in the county.

taking the A15 from bourne also provides those coming from the A1 an excuse to try the A151 from colsterworth to bourne
