    • Pull over and remove helmet and gloves to scratch it.

At my age, an itchy ear may be a sign of hair growing, one of the few places it still grows. So you can never win by shaking your head violently and scaring road users around you. You have no choice but to pull over and deal with it. Mind you, the head shaking bit means you clear a path for yourself through the traffic. :)

i think this is what happened to me. bit of hair in the ear causing the itch. no amount of helmet shaking was going to sort this one out! 30 mins i put up with it before reaching work. it was driving me nuts!
