Steve D Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 In the 'old' days, Redex was an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubed the valve guides and piston rings. There used to be a dispenser in most petrol stations and after you had put petrol in you gave it a couple of squirts into the tank. Fozzie Posted June 24, 2015 Share Posted June 24, 2015 STP fuel cleaner is best.Redex is good, but it's meant for cleaning an engine of light deposits, any heavy stuff just becomes a bigger problem down the line.
