I hadn't even thought about dropping them off with you! *Doh*

It should be fine, ones a poles and canvas one like:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61Mi5QRC4AL._SL1500_.jpg

Which packs up pretty tiny!

Where the other one is more of a fishing chair, so a bit bigger..

However I also have a couple of air beds and an electric pump for them too, which all pack away small..

It's more about getting his DAS done and a bike picked up, which he's working towards at the moment :D

cool cool I only have a planning window of like a month tops so nearer the time we can devise our cunning plan if that's ok

ooh are DAS dates booked? Has he done his theory? I get weirdly excited about people getting their bike licence!

Posted

Hopefully being booked with Pay for this month but if he hasn't by his birthday then I'll do it as a b-day present! :D

My mum bought him a helmet as a Christmas present and he just sat watching TV in it

Problem at the moment is he's looking to do a masters, which I am super supportive of!, it just means he's also being really careful with money, as we both remember what 'penniless student' feels like..

His own.. Ironical enough I've already messaged Throttled already about the KLE as he really likes them, but will see what happens ^_^

Niiiiiice, awesome bike to start out on 8-)

Gonna get myself a inflatable sleeping bed i think :D In my own little private tent of luxurrrrrry

But be nice ride down as a group, Means pee breaks are easier as you can leave stuffo n the bike :D :D

I have an Outwell Dreamboat to sleep on, the ultimate in luxury and wussiness! I have also never had an issue leaving bags on the bike. It would take a minute or so to figure out the bungees to get anything off and I don't think people want to risk tackling a biker.

Hardly! All that extra weight and bulk...

I just use one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gelert-X-Treme-Lite-3-4-Mat-Self-Inflating-Camping-Mattress-/131543479470?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

Once it inflates it's about 2cm thick (the product description on eBay lies), not enough to make the ground comfortable but does the important job of keeping your torso off the floor and as a result keeping your core temperature up.

I need a new sleeping bag. My warm one is huge, my compact one is freezing, and my compact warm one is old and knackered.

And I think I'll try to keep my cooking gear even more basic this year... or just get a takeaway

Basically everything needs to be smaller because the latest bike has far far less storage space than the last two...

That's what i have pretty much :D Self inflates rolls up slightly bigger than a roll mat.

Food wise i might just use some of my old camping food. I have spares which i can bring as long as you like.

- Chilli

- Lancashire hotpot

- I think meatballs

- Chocolate pudding.

Pretty sure they're all the same thing anyway.

Haha I'm thinking of Glorian just turning up with packets and packets of dehydrated army rations now!

I also have one of those ground mat things, though Jay tends to bring a double sleeping bag, so I'll steal his heat all night.. Mwahaha!

Our tent has a nice 'sitting area' too, so still up for board games and the such if it starts to pelt down with rain
