Rattehund Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Hi guys,I'm selling my gsr 750 and I took a photo of the mileage two months ago, it was at 1017. I was preping it for someone to view today and it's now on 1628, and I haven't ridden in the last two months. I have disconnected the battery and charged it. because I left the keys in it and got a phone call and ended up flattening it. But apart from that all iv done is run it outside the garage for 20 mins once a week.Any help is appreciated as I don't have a clue how this has happened.Cheers Quote
Six30 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 You've not got a treadmill in your garage have you ? Quote
Stu Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 very odd!! sounds like the EEPROM in the clocks has gone tits up! although when they do it usually kills the clocks! what year bike is it Quote
Rattehund Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 It's suzuki gsr 750 2013. Everything else seems to be working normally.I'm not sure if you can change miles to km, because 1017 miles is about 1636 km which is almost the mileage it's changed too. Quote
Stu Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 yes you can change the clocks to KM there will be instructions in your owners manual on how to do it 1017 miles is 1636.703 KM sounds like its set to KM Quote
Rattehund Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Il give it a go, hope it is just that.Cheers for the help Quote
Tango Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Just press all the buttons in different combinations.....you'll get the right one eventually...... I managed to change the temperature readout on my Speed 4 to Fahrenheit without realising once......when the temperature went through 150 degrees I nearly shat myself.....and the fan didn't even come on!! Fortunately I realised what had happened before I started dismantling the bike..... The thing is, there was no mention in the owners handbook about being able to change the units.......so I just pressed different combinations of the buttons until I got it back to Celsius. ..... Hoggs Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Internet suggests making sure you're on the odometre read out then press adj and select together for a few seconds?Pesky technology - analogue dials don't have this problem Quote
mealexme Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Just press all the buttons in different combinations.....you'll get the right one eventually...... I did this whilst riding once. I think I was tying to reset the odometer or something and all of a sudden I was doing 50 in a 30! Quote
Fozzie Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 It's usually the two dash buttons "select" and "reset/adjust" held down for a few seconds.Done it plenty of times on old Hondas and I think my old SV which is a suzi. Quote
