Security – where to start

Buy a Chinese bike to commute on , no self respecting oink would risk thier street cred by nicking it and you'll probably buy one cheaper than a decent lock would cost you.

If they want it they will have it, that's why we have insurance. I just use my steering lock and a basic disc lock. Could spend hundreds on chains that claim to be the best etc but like I just said they will get it somehow.

Foxy do you have pics of the other side of your bike? I was looking on Google and hilariously the picture I found of the steering lock was on this forum!!! http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=31949" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Weirdly on the above link it's on the left hand side - all bikes I've seen a non ignition lock on have been on the right!!

So...... looks like you don't have a steering lock :lol: I have no idea if you can put one on but disc locks and a chain around the frame preferably to ab immovable object are going to be your best bets

As said before if someone really really really wants it they'll probably get it. 99% of the time you just need to make it too much hassle for the casual scumbag

It's a CG. Park up next to something new(er) and shiny(er). Use a chain and a lock if you must. It will still be there when you come back.:wink:
