Where are scooby and shaggy? They always solve a good ghost mystery

As big a mystery as it seems.

My favourite spirit "Tequila" is very capable of making it seem not to matter [emoji1303]

Hope we get a ghostly legion of Roman soldiers come marching through the TMBF campsite at the weekend!

Or a headless horseman.. that would be good.

I saw a ghost when I was a kid. I was on holiday with my folks and we were renting an old cottage in Somerset. It was either the first or second night there and I woke up in the middle of the night to see a wispy figure standing in the room looking at me! I nearly crapped myself and dived back under the bed covers. When I peered out a short while later the figure was gone. I didn't say anything to anyone else. But in the morning my mum said that she had seen the same thing and said she felt really uneasy in this place, so we packed up and went and found somewhere else to stay. My folks weren't well off, especially with 4 kids, so this decision to move wasn't taken lightly. It was a bit later that I told my mum that I'd seen the same thing.

As to whether ghosts are the remaining spirits of the dead, or parallel existences that occasionally break through who knows........but I'm very sure of what I saw that night!

My brother in laws sister got killed in a car crash when she was 17 ,about 40 years ago , my brother in law was 6 or 7 ...

About a year after she was killed him and his brother was playing up indoors , from memory he threw something at his brother, thier dad jumped up and chased him out to the hallway ,he went to run up the stairs and stopped dead in his tracks and so did his dad, he saw a shape of a girl standing at the top of the stairs, he shite himself and ran back down into front room, his dad said he must of imagined it and that he didn't see anything ... Any way years later his dad said he did see it , he didn't admit to it at the time as he didn't want to alarm my brother in law any more than he already was....

Now I know this isn't made up , cause I know the people involved and they definitely wouldn't make it up .

a few weeks ago, late at night, I was bored with my laptop so i decided to find out who used to live in my house.

my house was built around 1928, so over the years many people have likely lived here.

I managed to find a reference to my house on the 1939 register and looked up the occupants name..

Turns out it was a woman call Jane Booth who was born in 1886.

I then thought, i bet nobody has said her name in this house in many decades, so I said it out loud... then again.... but then i remembered that film "Beetlejuice" where if you say his name three times he'll appear.... that freaked me out a little, so i shut the laptop and went to bed.

Ive never seen a ghost in this house, but the garage has mysteriously locked itself with me inside before. that was very strange as i had the key in my pocket - i really cant explain how that happened

The mrs perents are farmers and live in a old farm house.

She said she used to see figures cross the room when she lived there.

Her mum recons she saw a man in the field when she was washing up, turned round and dryed her hands and looked again and he was at the window then gone.

On one of the farms i used to shoot theres a public footpath through the fields.

Plenty of people had said they have said hello to a man, when they have turned around nobody was in sight.

The story is that a long time ago a guy started to loose his mind, he used to be the local slaughterman. Walked his kid down the footpath and killed him.

The replies to this thread have given me a truly evil idea. One of my colleagues sometimes works a late shift from 7pm to 10pm and occasionally she does this as a lone worker (only person in the building). She is also very much into the paranormal (she attends seances, for example). If I can figure out a way to sneak into the top floor via the fire escape one dark winter evening while she's lone working, drag some furniture around and make crazy noises, then sneak back out again ...

strange thing happened to me tonight...

I was out in the garage, sorting stuff out for the rally. This little voice popped into my head and said "Tonight is your last night on earth".. no idea where that thought came from, but I didn't think much of it.

I got back into the house, switched on my laptop, and a reminder popped up to remind me that tomorrow is the anniversary of my uncle's death - my uncle with the exact same name as me!

So im writing this down on the internet just in case something does actually happen to me tomorrow... hopefully that would freak few of you out that the little voice predicted my demise - think of it as my leaving gift....
