I did my CBT about 4 weeks ago and got my theory test this week. Work commitments have meant I haven't been able to do any further training but I've found out yesterday I'm going to not working next week and so did a ring around the training providers around Southampton and found one who had availability for next week.

I've got a 5 day course booked for next week so if all goes to plan I'll have my full license before the end of the month

Excited much...oh yes!

The centre I'm doing it have Kawasaki ER-6N bikes which are nearly new apparently. Having read a few reviews I think they should be fine for me

Good luck, on my mod 2 test, a couple of months back

I thought I had screwed it up early on in the test, so thought sod it gonna just enjoy the ride out and about even if a guy on a bike that looks like a copper is following me,

got back to the centre I told my instructor that I had screwed it, the examiner then called us in and said I had passed.... WHAT...! wow amazement......

what i am trying to say is try to not stress it on the day, easier said than done. but i am sure that's why I ended up passing because at first i was nervous wreck

good luck mate

Im part way through my DAS. All i can say is listen to the instructor, even when what they are saying seems counter intuitive. And most importantly....enjoy yourself.

So been having a great time this week on training and really enjoying the power of the big bikes. When practicing the slow control stuff I'd put my foot down on the U turn once each day because of going to slow and come test day did exactly the bloody same. Foot down and fail, doh!!

Just waiting for another date now so I can try again, think nerves got the better of me which is frustrating but he ho, onwards and upwards

ack bad luck Manc, keep your head right up when doing those slow speed turns. You'll nail the next one :thumb:

Tough luck Manc. You'll do it next time

I've got another date for the Mod1 test in two weeks time now anyway so will just put it to one side until then.

To be honest the muscles in my hands and neck will thank me for the rest as riding for 4-5 hours each day for 4 days was quite intensive even if it was blood good fun.

I'm struggling to type on a keyboard with my right hand because the muscles don't want to do the things I'm asking them to do [emoji23]

Head up, look where you want to go, and don't go -too- slow, it'll just make it harder.

Good work getting it arranged so quickly. Best of luck with it. It's a lot easier to control the nerves second time round. :thumb:
