Justarn Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Following my other post I've fitted some z1000 used Campbell sidewinders to my xjr. Other than worrying they are close to the shocks and maybe chucking heat on them I've realised I can't actually get the balls of my feet on the pegs properly as they hit the pipes, not ideal....This is how they sit ATM. Justarn Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 If I drop them 10 degrees with my cowboy garage working out they should be here... Quote
Justarn Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 Or I could cut the collector back and have em here...What you all think... Quote
skyrider Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 they look better in the second photo but would they lower anymore Quote
Bender Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I prefer first pic, can you not modify your feet Quote
Justarn Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) they look better in the second photo but would they lower anymore I've ordered a 15 degree bend so will sit about there, 10 degrees lower but I want to pull the collector up the other 5 degrees. I like the first position to so I am contemplating loping my heels off haha:-)Might just get my rear sets back too if I want to use em ever. Edited February 7, 2019 by Justarn Quote
Justarn Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 I personally wouldn't want em any lower... Quote
fastbob Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Purely from an aesthetic point of view I would choose the arrangement in the third picture where the exhausts are not in front of the shocks when viewed from the side. Quote

skyrider Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I really meant the angle of the pipes not quite as upswept but looking at the photos again that's how they are meant to be Quote

Justarn Posted February 8, 2019 Author Posted February 8, 2019 Good man, no compromiseDamd size 9's.... Ruin all my plans lol Quote

If you like original position can you extend pipe and move them back an inch (or two depending how big your feet are)? Quote
Justarn Posted February 8, 2019 Author Posted February 8, 2019 That's actually a good shout, never even thought of that lol. I may get some straight slotted pipe then I can have em either way depending on my needs... Quote
TimR Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 btw have you removed the rear pegs recently for the exhaust ? You may fail mot without pegs if you still have the rear seat available. Quote
Justarn Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 Doesn't really look like a rear seat tbf, my friendly red devil mot'er will be fine;-) Quote
Justarn Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Done, same angle but just enough room for heels...Happy chappy here:-) Quote
Bender Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Looks good, need a video with sound now though Quote
