Mississippi Bullfrog Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Ok, so let’s assume there is an earth leakage that drained the original battery, the same thing is going to happen to the new battery. If you have a multimeter take off the earth connection, put the multimeter across from the earth terminal to the bike frame and set it to milliamperes. It ought to read very low if anything. A few Milliamps maybe but nothing significant. If there is a drain pull the fuses until it stops, that will help narrow it down. Quote

Guest Richzx6r Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 I'd say that the magic has disappeared from a wire somewhere, I'd suggest contacting your local wizard for a spell Quote
fastbob Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Just check all electrical connections and fuses including the feed from the alternator to the rectifier regulator , Clean and tighten as necessary . If you don't find anything obviously wrong , buy a multimeter from Wilko ( £13.00 ) and perform some diagnostic tests in accordance with your workshop manual . Sorry , that last bit was a little tongue in cheek because I doubt that there is a manual for your bike . Alternatively , take it back to the jokers at this garage and tell them that they have not fixed the problem . Quote
