Hey all!

Bought some new indicators for my bike (Mutt Mongrel 125). So the ones currently installed have Black/Red wiring... The new ones are Black/Red/White. I guess the question is can I use the new ones or not?

Thanks!

I would think you will be fine, just connect the black to black and the red/white to the red wires.

Ok , that's for American bikes where the indicators are on all the time . Just use the red and black wires and either snip off or tuck away the spare wire . Obviously you need to connect them up and test them first . If they are LED they will only work if the polarity is correct .

Apparently the new Gold Wings are the same, at least according to my mate. They only flash when indicating but otherwise act as additional day notice lights.

Probably because they are manufactured in America .

That would explain it and also why my oppo is constantly ordering shiny bits from the US. Sad bast*rd.

The trick is knowing when to stop .

To be fair , these kind of bikes are often used at charity fundraising events .

To be fair to my mate as well his 2019 model isn't that blingy at all, quite subtle in fact. It also fairly rumbles along. It's not going to win any races on a twisty B Road (not that I would ever dream of doing such a thing) but as a cruiser it's not bad and it is of course very comfortable. Still not my cup of tea though even if I could afford it which I can't.
