i`ve had one Ducati .. a 796 hypermotard .. NEVER again !!! ticked all the boxes .. looked cool as fcuk .. was a nightmare to follow the servicing schedule .. required a new tool box of equipment .. and the engine was stolen from a tractor

give me a honda anyday .. just does what it says on the box..

I ike myself a bike with character

This Cafe Racer is a lot more docile than other Ducatis, though. Just remembering my 998

I tried one but the seat was way too hard for my delicate posterior.

I've got a Ducati albeit one of their less exotic models and after nearly two years I still find it totally reliable and good to ride. Servicing is every 9k or yearly so not too onerous. Not particularly cheap but no worse than other dealers I believe. I think they are a bit Marmite - love or hate.

Ducati’s of today (last 7- 8 years), are totally different story from ones before that time.

I had monster, one of the first models and it was nightmare in every sense except to ride when will start.

Today’s Ducati’s are reliable as any other European brand. Service cost, more or less as BMW,

At the end every Ducati is exotica so there is the price to pay.

and have the electrics improved also, a few years ago if it rained and you were out on the bike you were in trouble

I can only really judge from the 899 Panigale and this Scrambler Cafe Racer, because I rode them for a longer time, but the electronics had no issues whatsoever.

As a matter of fact, even my 2002 998 had no electronics issues.

But I don't ride in the rain much anyway

Certainly the Multistrada has no issues with electrics in the rain. Mine has been out in rain heavy enough to kill my Ghost camera and has done quite a few long motorway miles in heavy rain without any issues whatsoever. Furthermore it lives outside for at least 6 months of the year albeit with a cover. As Marino said modern Ducati bikes are as good as anyone's.
