Bender Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Nearing the end of daughter kitchen, well ish. Was going to relocate std radiator and was chatting to supplier I'm friendly with, he asked what colour was the kitchen, grey I said. How about a grey column one, they had a made to a size one that the numpty who ordered refused as it wasn't the size he ordered, it has no packaging, how much 50 quid, sold. Also came with no sticker to say where the baffles are, so no idea which way up or where flow and return should go, made an hour job turn into all afternoon , daughter suggested not going for things that are cheap, so I googled rad. I dread to think what a made to a specific size costs, think I will stick with the bargains. 2 Quote

He did say it was good quality He has 3 more proper old style column rads in odd colours that were the branches fault, I'm tempted to start bidding now , they have to sit on stock for a while before they can write them down to levels where some idiot will be interested, ohhh that's me. 1 Quote
Bianco2564 Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Watched a 2006 episode of Grand Designs last night and the couple spent £1000 on a kitchen tap. 1 Quote

Ian Frog Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Don`t get me started I am currently building a 4.1 million quid home for a guy ! In all fairness he is very nice and lives next door to site but I cant help thinking of the vultures in the jungle book every time he speaks to the designers ! His wife asked what would happen if I as a site manager was in a meeting with them and the designers, I laughed and said it wouldn`t end well lol. £400 for a black basin trap ffs !!!!!
