oldgrump Posted May 11, 2021 Share Posted May 11, 2021 Hi @gymwitch, Had a large Breakfast this morning, then been working on a Fuel tank and Carbs for a CBR400RR NC29!!!, I did the carbs weeks ago, without seeing the bike, said to owner is the tank clean!! YES was the answer!! Well a non running CBR turned up on the doorstep 3 days ago, tank is full of rust, but I used the White Vinegar he supplied, 20 litres, and it works a treat. Finished it this afternoon, now running well. Keep meaning to ask how's the 23 going?? And congrats on the pair of new bike's. oldgrump Posted May 11, 2021 Share Posted May 11, 2021 Hi @gymwitch, nope just took off fuel tap and cap, blocked off outlet and filled tank with white vinegar, left for 3 day's and then spent hour and half flushing tank out with water, then dry it and spray with wd40, then flush with petrol.
