Does anyone here have any experience of these cameras?  Someone local to me is selling one for £100.  I've been considering getting one for a while, but after todays very near miss I've decided something like this,  wire in and forget type camera, may be a good idea.  Helmet cameras are good but I keep forgetting to charge them.  Interesting to know what they're like in the real world rather than just listening to the sales pitch.  Cheers 👍

I bought a C5 when I got the new bike. As you say, fit and forget, each time I start the bike the camera starts recording. I checked the quality of the image when I first fit it and it was pretty good and ample good enough for an insurance issue should the need ever arise.

Cheers mate ..... Have you had any problems with water ingress into the camera?  Does the camera draw any power from the battery when the engine is turned off?  I must admit they look pretty good and ideal for what I want, I like the idea of the front and rear cameras, all angles covered.

No, I've had no problems with water ingress. The C5 is a single camera and I have mounted it under the nose so it is just above the front mudguard. There is ample room on my bike to still allow full front compression of the suspension. The camera keeps recording for about 10/20 seconds after the ignition is turned off and then stops completely with zero draw from the battery.

I wasn't bothered about a rear facing camera because if you get hit from behind it's pretty obvious who's at fault.

I bought that camera,  2nd hand but looks perfect, hopefully get round to fitting it this weekend, doesn't look to onerous ..... Although I've said that about other seemingly simple jobs that turn the air in my garage various shades of blue 🤣 Thanks for your input 👍

I fitted one of these a few years ago, does what it says on the tin. Only minor hassle is that if you want to get video off you have to take the memory card out which is fiddly.

Fitting was pretty straight forward "which surprised me", not sure if it's anew thing or not but I can view and download footage on the Innovv app .... Seems to work pretty good 👍

Yes, I bought a K3 earlier in the year, front fitted underneath the housing for the headlight, rear tucked under the rack but above the rear light. There's as control box that goes, in my case, under the dummy tank cover and a cockpit controller. The connections are all good quality screw connectors and even me, a bloke who gets the instructions out to wire a two pin plug assembled it all easily.

As others have mentioned I also took out the SD card a couple or three times to check it was both recording correctly and to see what the quality of the recording was like. It was and it was good; basically it did what it said on the tin and I don't think about it nowadays. The cockpit controller lights up to show it's working and that's good enough for me.  The only criticism I have is that it has an incident mode based on (I think) G Force and on my bike at least, records too many road irregularities as 'incidents'. This does really matter to me as it's still recording, it just saves it in a different file, but it you're trying to replicate a GoPro you might have to fiddle around with the sensitivity setting.

I have always been interested in the quality of the video of these units

Has anyone got any clips to share?

I have the K2 which I'm pleased with. This is a pretty good video for them

A follow up on this thread. I was happy enough with the K2, good video quality (for the purpose of evidence in accident). However, the control unit failed and I have found the company INNOVV to be a brick wall when it comes to after sales support. Their FBook page is full of glowing reports from customers, that has not been my experience.
