Some lock ups can get damp depends on what is under the concrete floor. I just used to put a couple of cheap moisture traps in mine and sorted the issue

Salt my solution was one of these…
Think mine is bigger but remember the weight to carry full to the garage…

Lighting I have one of these pick your own design:

Probably the most used things in the garage for my bikes.  Oh and an old filing cabinet for tools, chain lube etc.
Paddock stand is also a bonus.

I pull up and back my bikes into garage, keeping them at the front so I can get straight on the road. Probably quicker and easier than the turn tables etc..

I had one of those pump pressure washers, but my house is 1 minute ride away, so I can just wash it there with a hose and ride round. I got a Ring LED light from Halfords that is brighter than the sun. I just put the bike on the centre stand and have a roller thingy for the front wheel.

The lock-up is bone dry, with air bricks at the back that I can feel a draught coming from and the door lets in lots of air. That's why I was puzzled about the damp tyres.

The battery PIRS are just for backing the bike into the garage in the dark...

For maintenance I use a head torch, or move Infront of house in daylight and need head torch to finish 🤔

I have no water at front of house, so use spray to knock salt and light dirt of after each ride...

If it's a concrete floor with no membrane under it sometimes you can get damp. My brother still has his lockup and bought some rubber matting it seems to have sorted that issue

The card board on the floor, to protect it from oil from the chain, is also bone dry.

Got back to the lockup and saw the lady who parks her car in front of it. Asked if she could park a bit further out from it to leave me a bigger gap and she asked me if I know how to drive?! I then got lectured on how she is a resident and biking is just a hobby and she drove off. My son was with me and called her a "Karen", which I had not heard before, but she fits the bill. She knew about the lockups and parking when she moved in to the house, but takes the view she should park where she wants.

I would not speak to anyone that way, for fear they would react badly. Here's hoping her car does not get accidentally damaged as I try to get my bike in and out of the lockup.

One of our previous neighbours was a tenant in a flat next door but one. They often parked either partially or totally blocking our drive. One day the exhaust on the bike scraped down the side of their colour coded bumper. They never parked there again.
