Stu,9486 Posted March 20, 2022 Share Posted March 20, 2022 Hi all, I am looking to buy a new bike. I have had my Honda hornet 2001 for 5 years and it was my first big bike. Looking for something a bit newer and just fancy a change as had 5 years not sure what I am after. I am a hobby rider 4k a year mileage. Medium distances probably 200 mile a day when I go out. Would more weather protection give you more days on road or do you ride dry warm days only? Would carrying capacity give you chance of overnights. Stu,9486 Posted March 26, 2022 Author Share Posted March 26, 2022 Thanks for the advice guys, I visited superbike factory today to sit on various bikes and found the gsxs1000 as really nice fit, now looking for a good deal. I am also test riding an mt07 next weekend. I just can't commit to what I want in my budget. The hornet has been great and just looking for something that doesn't require tweaking every few rides. The hornet requires carburettor maintenance regularly (probably my fault for intermittent use). Also, I've never heard someone use the power band as an excuse for breaking the speed limit. Ill keeping that one in my back pocket! GSX-S1000 all the way.
