Born again biker

It's been a long time since I got across a bike...try a very long time!

Used to ride T100's when they were 500cc.

Now they're 896cc.

To make matters worse I'm a serious shortarse...old (68) and shrunk to 5'1" ( and a bit).

Happy with my MX5, but still can't forget the good old days. 

Should I restart with a 125 or pile back in with the new T100 ? Was looking for a compromise  but there are so few options?

I believe British Enfield have some decent, short bikes and are cheaper than Triumph.

The Honda 500cc rebel has a very low seat height - 27", if you can cope with the cruiser(ish) vibe.

Yeah. I came back to biking and found the Kawasaki z 650 suited me

Suzuki VanVan? Very laid back, fun bike.

I had a VanVan, terrific little bikes. As factory spec they are as good as it gets with one exception. Like many smaller bikes they are over-geared. I just dropped one tooth at the front and it transformed the bike's ability to hold top gear on an open road.

 

But you may outgrow a 125 very quickly. The current Honda 500 range offer some decent bikes that aren't huge.

I'm 5'2 and ride a CB500F, very comfortable and when you need it it's got the oomph to get out of the way. I did have it lowered but only because it's my first big bike and I'm airing on the side of caution.
