Yves Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 hello everybody I live in France and i am 56. I 'm living now since March far from Paris where i was living before. i 'm living in beautifull green region called "The Plateau of thousand cows" , indeed there many farmers here . there are two great big lakes , and a lot of english people are also living here. i've met some , mostly retired people but only, some are planning to live in France as houses seem less expensive here than in England ? So, because i can't anymore use my minimotor dualtron limited edition (60 km/h speed) outside towns, The french government has decided to no not allow us outside towns, otherwise we could have a 1500 € fine and the dualtron scooter confiscated) , i 've just bought an horwin EK1 electric scooter wich is allowed on the countryside. It s the first time i ride a such heavy scooter, then because i m not trained to such heavy engine , the second time i used it i lost my balance when i was parking it and the brake lever left is now broken. i can still use the right one but it s not secure to ride with only one and i m trying to find an horwin spare one, wich seems not available anywhere ... That's a pitty to sell scooters without providing enough spare parts ... So i come here to get infomations , advices to find a solution to repair this even i have to change both by compatible ones , but i do not know compatible part. have a nice evening and i will read you later regards Yves 3 Quote
Old-codger Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Hi Yves welcome to the forum If you cant find a dealer/parts supplier in France ive just had a search here and this dealer in London and the south/east claim to be a dealer and parts supplier. You could try them for your lever. Electric Bikes, eBikes, Mopeds and eScooters in London – Urban eBikes 1 Quote
Yves Posted December 20, 2022 Author Posted December 20, 2022 Thanks Goat for your welcome and old-codger also for your fast reply and suggested dealer indeed I found it few days ago. i ll ask them. I found also some spares from AliExpress one that could fit but I prefer European suppliers even if I will have to spent more money because of the brexit , I’ve often used to buy from UK dealers in the past when I had to buy car radio controled spare parts as they had usually more spare parts than in France. have a nice evening all Kind regards Yves 2 Quote

Thanks Bonio, yes i should have checked first the brand that provide a good amount of spare parts, but anyway I was seduced by EK1 look . 1 Quote
Throttled Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 I test rode an EK1 from here; https://westcoastmoto-ev.com/horwin-ek1 They are a huge dealership that is primarily Harley Davidson. I asked about service, etc and they insisted they had everything needed and there were no supply issues. Quote
