Dan ninja Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Today I had my mod 2 and unfortunately failed with one major. We approached a junction on a 20mph road and was indicating to take a right onto another 20mph road on my approach I did what I thought was expected and thought I had dropped to 1st gear for the turn, I was in 2nd and clumsily my left foot came off the peg for a brief second as the bike staggered and I quickly changed down and carried on safety. I instantly knew what I had done and kicked myself. this was my fail, the examiner said I didn’t have control of the bike,in My opinion I did, I didn’t stall the bike and the error was over in the blink of an eye my instructor said this was very harsh decision as I only had a couple of minors one of which was nervously catching the horn when cancelling a signal indicator. bonio Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Dang it that's sad. The examiner was clearly suffering from post-Christmas humbug. But never mind mate; you'll nail it next time. Quote
S-Westerly Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Harsh but shit happens. You'll be right next time I'm sure. Quote
Bungleaio Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 A harsh fail but at least it's something you can easily avoid doing next time. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the retest. Quote
jedibiker Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Does seem harsh, but are you used to the bike? and is it an older bike? Things like catching horn and not knowing the gear are a sign of not being on a bike for long.. also could have just been nerves as its one hell of an experience. good luck next time Quote
Tiggie Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 I would catch horn all the time when I switched over to winter gloves! Quote
