bonio Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 If it's any encouragement, I found the road part of the CBT easier than the machine control bit that went before. It all seemed to come more easily when I was concentrating on other things like traffic and road signs. All the best for your next session 1 Quote
Shepherd Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 I think it's like riding a pushbike, a little faster than you think you should go makes it a lot more stable and easier to control. Having the confidence to that however, is a different matter. Good luck with it. 1 Quote

We spent a lot of time on slow control, getting that clutch feel, keeping the revs even and using that rear brake, harder than it looks! Using muscles and tendons a lot, also the bars and controls aren't really setup for an individual, something you can sort when you get your own bike. 1 Quote

I also know the roads round that area really well so I have a feeling this will be borne out. 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Also to note if the handle bars and levers are not ideal to your body dimensions that puts alot more stress and strain... you'll need to think of that properly when you look at your next bike 1 Quote
Birch Vand Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) Competed my CBT! Just 30 mins on the paddock, followed by 2 hours on road, slow control etc done previously. Steep learning curve but felt much more comfortable by the end. Left with good feedback to carry on learning on my own, super happy! And got up to 60+ on dual carriageway! Still need to work on clutch control, gear changes sometimes a bit wooden, but it's getting there fast. Time to find a bike! Edited June 19, 2024 by Birch Vand 6 Quote
Simon Davey Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Well done! You'll be belting around the local roads like a looney before you know it. 1 Quote
