    new bike

    very nice @johnakay
  6. One of the first things I noticed about the BMW was that it had brass nuts on the exhaust studs Also today I washed it then went for a little ride I then fitted some clear protective film to the pillion handles as the wife likes to kick f**k out of them every time she gests on the bike! I had to makes them and cut them to size! and to be honest they didn't go too bad Also booked it in for MOT next week which means I will have had it a year
  7. I saved £130 on one change I have changed many tyres

  9. I thought I recognised your username from somewhere! Yes I have sent him the link to the other forum I run
  10. Just a static wheel balancer https://www.amazon.co.uk/ Although I now need to buy an adaptor for the BMW!
  11. I have fitted my own tyres for a lot of years now! I had a brake disc bent by some monkey! So I just look for the cheapest tyres delivered to my door in the brand that I want. The last set I bought cost me £201 delivered the local shop wanted £330 fitted to lose wheels fitted and balanced when it suited me for £201 I really can't grumble at that I have a manual tyre changer and it takes about 7 minutes to remove and fit a tyre from a rim
  12. At the request of another member who has reported the thread and he makes a good point in his report I have now closed this thread! @Geoff Wilson if you want to be part of this forum then I suggest you learn to listen to others opinions! ramming your opinion down everyone's throat hasn't done you any favours! Also lay off with the insults!
  13. That's not true! Most accidents are from middle aged men who are born again bikers

    Happy Birthday

    Happy birthday
  15. How do you know they are scary? Have you ridden them? I have
  16. Now this really makes me piss!! There is no modern day sports bike classed as a "widow maker" that term was used for the early TL1000s before it was recalled and a re tuned ECU fitted and a steering damper The issue with that bike was not all about power! I know I owned one for 9 years! was it fast....yes was it scary......not really! Is there faster 600cc bikes! yes there is! So before referencing to "widow makers" learn about the bike and the power and why it was called a widow maker Other bikes was called this to make them sound scary thats all
  17. But if you ask enough people you eventually get the answer you want I have found this a lot! people are just trying to justify their purchase or not as the case maybe and they are just after the correct answers from other people
  18. Stubborn twats that won't budge!!
  19. Its probably to scare you in to going to the dealer for servicing
  20. I have never known a need to clean and check spray patterns unless there is a problem and that's a specialist job Adjusting synchronisation is just balancing the throttle bodies
  21. did you do the old restricted licence for 2 years? which meant you had to restrict a bike to 33bhp for 2 years?
  22. Having ridden a lot of those roads I can say that its a great route Makes me want to book a trip to Wales now!
  23. What the hell is an injector balance Do you mean throttle body balance?
  24. I'm confused as to the point of this thread Everyone who has answered saying its down to rider etc you are finding excuses as to justify not getting a 1000cc bike which is fine! Don't get one!
  25. These questions cannot be answered as it all depends on you! You might be a natural and pass both with just an hours training or you might need weeks of training You wont know until you start I would speak to the instructors on the day of your CBT and let them know of your intentions and ask what they recommend
