I would normally say any dedicated unit it better than a phone But the way my unit has been behaving just recently I'm not so bloody sure Been having a few routing problems with the zumo xt and have had to work round them Saying that the problems don't affect the 590 The 590 is OK but there is battery issues with them but there is an easy fix which helps It's not always easy to plan routes on the unit and I refer doing it on a obile phone/pc but there is no easy way to transfer routes from your phone to the 590 The screen isn't as bright as your phone or the zumo xt I would say no more than 200 quid Bear in mind you can buy a new zumo xt for £350 now even with its routing issues you can work around them easy enough

I phoned my local radio station today, to enter their mystery prize competition. The presenter answered and said, "Congratulations on being our first caller, all you need to do is answer the following question correctly, to win our Mystery Grand Star Prize".. "That Fantastic!" I called out in delight. "Feel Confident?" The presenter asked, "It's a Maths Question." "Well, I've got a degree in Mathematics " I proudly replied, "Ok then, to win our grand prize of 2 VIP tickets to a Harley Davidson launch and to be the first person ever to test ride the new bike, what is 2+2 ?" “17” I replied.

Free returns from sportsbikeshop You have selected avoid motorways haven’t you? If so then it looks like there's no alternative route
-
Intensive course or not?
Stu replied to Vinnie's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
2.5 days and I went from CBT to full licence! Depends on how you are and how quickly you learn -
Loving the Buell @Richard
-
Did you use a cheap one? Some of the cheaper ones have the led in the wrong place so the beam of light is altered I fitted some to the FJR and they was brilliant
-
What about fitting an LED bulb instead? You can get some really good ones that don't scatter the light LED will obviously be less of a drain on the battery

655 miles later and we are back home! We set off on Tuesday heading to Wales on a pre planned route meandering along the countryside at a steady pace with no rush whatsoever it took us about 7 hours to do 220 miles with 4 stops involved The route was pretty decent and its probably the best one I have done so far heading to Wales. I avoid as many major roads as possible and just take it steady well whats the rush? its supposed to be a tour right? We had booked The waterloo Hotel in Betws Y Coed for 3 nights this has lodges away from the hotel with parking right to the door which puts your mind at ease that the bike is close by. We also had free use of all the facilities at the hotel should you wish which include swimming sauna and a gym if you really want to. We gave it all a miss though The next day we took a ride to Mach loop. I have seen it mentioned a few times on here so had a google and planned a route which took us straight there and then back up the coast road then heading up towards Snowdon and back in to Betws Y Coed. The plan was just to go for a ride and if we saw and low flying aircraft then thats a bonus As we was heading round a plane flew right over our heads and I just saw it disappear It was low it was loud and it was fast! I would love to have been there early and parked up like all the spotters do for the day We pulled up at a place near Corris to have a pitstop and keep an eye out to see if anything else followed but no sightings this time! The coast road up through Barmouth and Harlech was pretty decent but was fairly busy! lots of slow bloody tourists From Harlech we followed a route through Penrhyndeudraeth, Porthmadog following the A498, A4086 Then the A5 back down to Betws Y Coed stopping for some dinner and to enjoy the views Day 2 was spent just riding around with no real plan except to go to Ponderosa Cafe even though I said I wouldn't due to them lowering the speed limit to 40 on the horseshoe pass Coming home I decided to take the same route back as it was a decent route Overall it was another amazing trip to Wales with awesome roads, scenery and weather if you have never visited Wales then stick it on your bucket list just remember to book the weather The bike was faultless and returned 62.6mpg on the trip according to the on board computer which is what you want when touring
-
Should have given me a shout! I would have let you buy me and the wife a cuppa
-
The A5 is sublime for that lovely flowing road with not a lot of braking much to the wife's annoyance
-
Averaged 62mpg according to the readout on the bike today on the way to Wales!
-
Never had any issues to be honest and not really seen any police either
-
Made a good start this morning and set off at 8 on the route I planned yesterday and I must say the route was fantastic! We prefer little winding roads and just taking it all in on the way! Arrived at around 4 with 3 or 4 stops on the way This is our digs for 3 nights The Waterloo Hotel in betws y Coed They have lodges that you can park right outside with use of all their facilities too swimming pool sauna gym etc

Don't worry I will sort @Tiggie out

Just like @fastbob its that time of year for me too! Its starting to become a yearly thing where me and the missus book last minute and sod off to wales for around 4 days Got a hotel booked in Betws y Coed route planned going and a route planned to go up to mach loop as I have seen it mentioned a few time on here so I thought I would give it a look Setting off tomorrow morning and will be back Friday night
-
Nob of the day goes to @Tiggie................

You could fit it so all the motor is on the outside with a manual override behind a cover etc There is ways around all that but would cost a bit more and it would still be secure too
-
Love the fork tube holder

Fit everything and set the adjusters to where they need to be for a new chain Fit the chain and hook the ends over the rear sprocket Now pull the chain to take up the slack rest it on the sprocket and you should be able to see how many links too long the chain is Are you counting the side plates? if so then the 100th one will be the link so you would cut to 99 but please check it on the bike before cutting PS hand a weight on the rear brake and put it in gear it will stop the chain falling on the floor
