  1. I don't even bloody drive those anymore
  2. Oi! That's not bad going considering I don't commute on it and it's just a toy
  3. MOT Passed! 5058 miles between MOT's
  4. You got a link?
  5. If heated seats are anything to go by they will be totally worth it!
  6. Yeah!!! I went out with a few lads from work and when we set off it was 4 degrees and ice on the side of the roads! but it was dry! I had all my textiles on and a few layers coupled with my heated seat and grips I was pretty toasty As a result I forgot how cold it actually was until I went barrelling in to a corner like it was mid summer then realised the roads was covered in salt and it was freezing! I got a little too carried away but by eck was it fun
  7. But the more miles you get the more counselling you get for your money
  8. Went to work on it then went for a quick blast and filled her up after work Refitted the standard exhaust ready for the MOT tomorrow That means I have had it almost a year
  9. I don't ride a bike for economy but the bike computer says 56 average on average I am getting 240 miles to fill ups which never puts the reserve light on and I usually squeeze in around 20 litres I have seen the rang showing 310 miles to empty but never tested that and never ridden steady enough either Not bad for a 1200! I say get a bigger bike not smaller
  10. I will not go out if its raining but I have been caught out while out and about and also time I have had to ride in it and to be honest I have enjoyed most rides!
  11. @Ian Frog Moved to the for sale section
  12. I never said you did But according to you the test isn't that hard as you have watched videos! It's just all about control and doesn't look that hard! So if it's that easy why all the worry about doing it? Why the million and one questions to be then slated by someone who hasn't done the tests but thinks they are easy because YouTube says it is! Why are you asking us what we think when you clearly just argue the toss with the answers and think you know better?
  13. I have been on a plane and seen videos of them online and seen them in real life! Doesn't mean I can fly one

Speak to a tuner that knows these bikes and they will advise the best course of action But a decent tuner will use software that will self learn no matter what mods you make it will tune to the A/F ratio that it needs to be so changing something won't affect anything as the ECU will re learn http://www.hilltopmotorcycles.co.uk/ I am going to be using these guys as they are well known for remapping BMW's
  18. You're asking the wrong person about mod 1 and 2 as these wasn't even thought of when I did my test 20 years ago
  19. It all depends on the person Normally they can tell by how you take instruction and how quickly or slowly you learn on your CBT will determine how much training you need You will probably find that all the routes they take you on are set routes and are also route risk assessed by H&S and they won't be allowed to deviate off these without a good explanation

I would rather go with a remap than a booster plug. With a booster plug you are just trying to fool the ecu Where as with a remap you alter the full fuel table including ignition and you can also alter a lot more while in there too

I dare say that the MT will auto re learn the air to fuel ratio of what the bike has fitted and it will be running OK in relation to how it left the factory ie it will be running the same air to fuel ratio it was made to run. These ecu's are pretty clever these days and can self adjust and that's what the 02 sensors are for. Having said that every bike will benefit from a remap and would be totally worth it! I'm going to be getting my ecu remapped eventually
  22. This is why I have been told to learn how to do every job you can and trust no one
  23. Now sign up to this and get bloody riding
  24. Some people end up marrying them Not me I might add

    Tdm 850 oil top up.

You can get small collapsible funnels if space is tight too But they are made out of rubber and you would need a tight fit on the tube
