  3. the fork bottoms will come off but its not advised at all personally because you have to strip them I would look at getting some springs for your weight too and all new bushes for them while you are in there may aswell do the lot in one go it was going to cost me 400 quid to send mine off and get the revalved new springs with seals and bushes the valves alone where £140 and £80 for the springs!

  6. Hi Stu Sounds like there's not to much of a shortfall expected. My way of looking at it is, others seem to do lots in running the forum, events, entertainment, etc and then there's us who just turn up and enjoy. I would therefore be more than happy to donate to assist with the shortfall. To keep things anonymous (and easier cause the venue is all ours for the night) a donation box with the £ amount needed written on the side to let people pop in a donation as they wish to and in this way not alienate those who aren't in a position to donate. Just a thought Nice idea Terry but honestly its not going to be a lot if any now there was the added cost of a portaloo for the night as the toilets will be shut when the pub closes and this has turned out a lot cheaper then I thought
  7. how is a ground anchor going to stop them cutting through your chain?
  8. No more then £100 if you supply the parts and yes gen seals only
  9. Beggers can't be choosers
  10. It could be the fact that they are squared off and nothing to do with the pressure
  11. yes your worrying about nothing when I fitted a set of michelin pilot power 2ct's the rear used to move about on the stock pressures 36 front and rear after talking to michelin they said to increase the pressure 2 psi at a time until it stopped up to a max of 44 psi this only took 2 psi to stop it moving it just shows it doesnt take a lot I would drop yours and then raise them 2 psi at a time till it stops or if your tyres are really bad I would change them
  12. Nice write up Joe

  16. double check on the theory part as someone brought it up not so long back on here that if you have moped on your licence you dont need to do your theory you can just do cbt and tests! or something along them lines I cant remember who it was but if I find it I will post it up they even rang DVLA to check too so if you can hold off booking the theory till you check that out it could save you a few quid
  17. depends on the charger and the size of the battery to be honest
  18. bikes are fine to jump off a car without them running though get yourself a bike charger and a multimeter while your at it charge battery then leave for an hour before checking voltage the closer to 13 the better
  19. your not supposed to do it with the engine running as the amount of amps a car charging system puts out is too much for the battery and can kill it remove the battery and charge it and see if it holds a charge also check the voltage of the battery it may have enough to put the lights on but thats it
  20. I am but will try and get them in time for the rally hence the last bit to keep some in stock
