  1. That was my next one hodgy
  2. How did you check the fuses? If you just looked it might be worth checking them with a multimeter as I have had it before where they look good but they have actually blown
  3. Exhaust port? If that's your vac line you won't get much vacuum from the exhaust! I'm hoping you mean inlet port? But to remove as above

    sounds about right!

I know that feeling! having worked on a 1972 landrover lightweight for the last 10 years!
  6. made life easy with a poll for ya

    Rear brake pad pin

another tip is to split the caliper with the pins still in
  8. it is simple enough you need a wiring diagram ideally just watch out for the immobiliser circuits as they could have cut one wire in two places so they are harder to find well this is what they should have done!
  9. shame you cant get it going as your not too far away and the bridge toll is now free i would have suggested you come for a ride and i would have removed it for ya

they are only cast and easily break I know this is an old ish thread and the OP is already sorted but for future reference remove caliper and drop the lot in a sealed bag with lots of WD40 inside and leave for a day
  11. it will have two immobiliser circuits the trick is to find them remove the wires for the alarm/immobiliser and re join the wires that where cut for the immobiliser side instructions would be useless really for removal what does the fob look like?
  12. yes it probably would but I would put it on a relay as not to overload the dipped beam wire bikes electrics are made to withstand what is already fitted
  13. As techno says really They are really good tyres
  14. Same as what's on the front!

no on that bike it will certainly be a washer in each inlet

You would need to look down the carbs and see if there is any restriction washers in there
  17. It doesn't work like that I'm afraid Each bike breathes differently so what's good for one can be bad for another as i said above you cant guess these things the first step it to get it on a dyno and see how it running then go from there
  18. without a doubt its better then wearing shades cant say about drop down visors though never used one of those
  19. I have a dark tint visor on my lid have always had one and always will until they stop making them never had a problem with the police as a lot of them see it as safety although if I know I'm going to be out late then I take the clear one with me too
  20. In that case then you don't need to get jets from other bikes as you can just go to a main stealer and get the jets for the correct bike at different sizes so no need to mix and match
  21. sorry but I disagree you cant guess fuelling! first of all the op would need to know what size jet is already in there then he would need to know what size he is putting in also it might not even need an uprated jet and it could be a needle issue then after that you would need to check the air to fuel ratio which needs to be at 12.5 to 13.3:1 for max power on a bike also if he gets it wrong and it runs lean it can burn a hole in a piston over time! the first step is to get the bike on a dyno to see how it is fuelling and if its lean or rich or neither!
  22. you cant just put a bigger jet in a bike and expect it to be fine needle hight has a lot of affect on the fuelling you cant guess these things they have to be done right otherwise you are pissing in the wind

    indicators

also check the contacts in the bulb holder these are prone to going rusty and no contact
  24. why do you want this specific kit? its only a name you need a bike set up on a dyno by an expert to have it running right you cant just sling a kit in and say its fine! a decent tuner will get the same results from most make of parts you are only probably going to have needles adjusted and possibly bigger jets dont believe the hype that a dynojet kit will give you the best out the bike its actually a decent tuner that will get the best out of it
  25. moved to pitstop!
