the only hints and tips i can give is use the car or just take it really steady out there and wash the bike everyday

if the rev counter is bouncing all over ie not reading the correct revs while riding then it will be an electrical problem i had it on my zxr400 used to go off the clocks and all sorts of weird stuff cleaned up all the electrical connectors and earths and it was as good as new

if it was a race bike i would let ya off but as its your road bike i wouldnt advise revving to 10k in first your bike wont really be pulling in 1st it will just fly up as if the engine is running free and can cause a con rod to stretch and cause plenty of damage basicly its like revving the bike at a stand still and you wouldnt rev it to 10k for a long time while stationary hope that helps

change before 10k i ideally you shouldnt be revving to 10k in first on the road

keep the 750 mate and slow down it can be done my bike is just as quick as yours maybe even quicker once i finish playing about with it but i have managed to slow down a lot so i dont see why you cant if you sell up and get a 2 stoke it will be more hassle then its worth if you ask me you have a nice bike mate keep it look after it and it will last a long time mate

easy to check the exhaust.... ..start the bike and put your hand over the end if it has a hole/leak it will stay running if not it will stop after a few seconds its hard to diagnose a noise without listening to it

why not ask that on this thread viewtopic.php?t=12244 where you asked the question the bore is where the exhaust will "slip" on to measure across not round it
