its nothing to do with the clutch your carbs need a damn good service that means replacing all the rubber seals in the carb too as the gsxr400 are a bit funny about those ps stick a post in newbies and stick around

to answer the first question the answer is easy they dont have bloody cars, busses and wagons chucking oil and diesel all over the track its amazing how grippy the track is in the wet
