  12. Hey guys and girls, Got a small fuel leak from my petcock on a 1989 ZX10. Really want to get this sorted as soon as possible. Any ideas what would most likley be leaking? Would it be the gasket?
  13. Bill the Biker on Alexandra Parade is a great guy for working on your bike. Stevie Brierton aswell but to be honest with you, he is an arrogant c*** and basically if he cant be bothered he will just fob you off. Girders in Airdrie (just outside glasgow) are great aswell. WheeliePro Mechanics are a mobile company in Glasgow. (Find them on facebook) pretty good reputation. Im sure its my mate's pal that owns it.
  14. Thanks for the replies guys. Ill get it looked at and try to get it sealed and fixed. Failing that ill be looking for a new tank.
  15. Looking for a bit of help here folks. Got a 1989 ZX10 and recently it seems to be leaking fuel. Not had a chance to get the tank off but pretty sure its the tank itself thats the problem. Looks like there is a bit of rust bottom left hand side of the tank and its been a bit damp and its directly under that that the drips are landing on and dripping down.. Question is, whats the best way to repair it if it is the tank? Been told liquid metal but have no idea how to use it lol
  16. Not sure what the pads are as they were on it when i bought the bike. I might need to buy a new set then. What causes them to glaze up?

    Brakes

I have a 1989 ZX10 and when im braking in wet conditions the front brake seems to be very dodgy at slowing me down (not the greatest when coming off the motorway onto the slip road) Pull the brake and the bike feels like its not gonna stop and takes a fair bit of distance until it does. However, in the dry they are bang on. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? The pads and discs have loads of life left in them Thanks
  18. Got a wee problem with my 1989 ZX10. My fuel gauge doesnt seem to work too good. Fill the tank the gauge goes to full, after around 80-90 the gauge shows empty even though i still have around another 90 miles of fuel before need to switch to reserve. Any ideas what could be the problem with the gauge? Also my temp gauge doesnt work at all. Any help would be great. Thanks
