  1. @Grumpy Old Git As an IBS sufferer, I feel your pain, and your relief
  2. Excellent progress, loving all the shine. Good luck with the hand.
  3. Well done for decent security @ChrisBiggsUK How nice to pop to the beach. Without being patronising, "look at you now", wasn't long ago you would only go out before rush hour.
  4. Maybe the exhaust also fits another bike, which would need those brackets?
  5. I haven't ridden her for well over a month, so I Had a 1/2 hour each way trip to J&S planned to buy summer boots, but feared I may end up with a shitty ride like the chaps above. So pulled her out, after a fair bit of winding over she started and I let her get up to temperature. Turned the fuel off, let the remaining petrol in the carb's run out to a splutter then engine off. That'll do until the roads are dry. I took the car, and I was so glad I did, the roads were absolute shite, wet, greasy, and gravel all over the place, not to mention salt.
  6. With my front brakes, I also went through almost half a litre using the non return valve thingy, but I think the air I was getting was from where the pipe fitted to the nipple. In the end, I just did it the old fashioned, open and close nipple with a spanner way, and it worked a treat. I might have to print this picture, or at least, having it as my PC background image.....
  7. @Mississippi Bullfrog From what I've seen on YouTube, the Americans love Triumph. It's the retro machines they seem to go for. Could be just algorithms though.
  8. Battling through the cloud this morning
  9. Not too long then, as long as it's time for September, of course
  10. Good luck @KiwiBob, hope it's done soon.
  11. Loving this resto', and that box of sprays you've collected
  12. Crikey, I hope you get plenty of tea breaks My poor humour aside, my previous job for 15 years was a computer hardware engineer. I used to fix big stuff, nothing to do with PC's, jeez, some of those courses were so boring and tiring. They went over all the shite from the previous course etc etc. So I totally sympathise.
  13. Just tell 'em you missed the boat
  14. The well lit garage probably affects the photo too. Big difference in the colour of light, and obvious difference in brightness.
  15. That really is very good detail. And I thought my tractor was bouncy (no suspension)
  16. Nicely done pictures are those @Bender
  17. That's great, thanks. For what it's worth, I did understand your reply. Helped by knowing how a wing actually works regarding positive and negative pressure. I used to fly, (and still have) model glow helicopters, it's fascinating how the blades/wings work.
  18. @Grumpy Old Git I got up late too
  19. I imagine the boredom of flying above the clouds is similar to spending hours riding solo on a bike on the motorway (riding with friends is different). Whilst hypoxia is so dangerous, your account is pretty amusing and entertaining, but I found myself telling you to lose altitude. So, why spiral in descent and climb, is it to reduce any sudden effects of the change in temperature? How high can the small prop engines operate before there's not enough air?
  20. Blimey, just looked on the MotoGb website, and I didn't realise there was a dealer so close to me! Cheers
  21. Difficult to summarise that viewing, it was quite emotional, and full of wow, and wonder. I watched it through to the end, I was so enthralled/captivated by every aspect of the story, from the treatment of the black airmen, who despite segregation managed to deal with racism (an understatement) and fly escorts with more professionalism than their white counterparts, resulting in a heroic reputation. Then the incredible power and determination of Don Hinz and those that helped, to tell that story by flying the restored aircraft around the USA. I shed a tear to see Ben Hinz watching the aircraft that his father died in fly again, thus ending one chapter whilst another starts, and the story continues to be told. Thank you @Tinkicker
