  1. There is/was an obvious communication error so this thread ought to be deleted to stop any more confusion....
  2. OK so 20 ltrs = 700floz (35floz to 1 Ltr) Your bottle = 8floz 700/8 = 87.5 87.5/8 = 11 therefore the correct dillution is 1:11 Fluid/Water Your bike holds .7 ltr fluid and .7 ltr = 24 fluid oz At this rate you would be better off mixing 1ltr of antifreeze solution and add 1/3 (85ml) to that then pour that into your machine and run it up. Keep whats left to top it up because you will surely need to.
  3. Would anyone be interested in another weekend...possibly at Keswick?.... Could we have a list of names below of those who might be interested and when they would be interested? There are some great places to see up there...
  4. Is it a carb or injected?....cos this really sounds like a blocked jet (tickoverjet) which does cut out until around that rev range? Even an Injector can get dirty...
  5. I belong to a number of forums and hate nothing more than spammers pushing their wares. Besides which, it's the polite thing to do. Thanks for your good wishes and I will certainly post here when there's progress to report. Once again I would be eternally grateful if people who visit the website at http://www.caferacer.moonfruit.com could hit the old like button to help spread the word. Done....I once built a cafe racer out of a Honda 250 and a triumph racer tank and seat...back in the day (70's)

  10. It's about making it safe first.... we used to flush them out then fill them with co for a good while...argon would do as its inert...then gring it back and have a good look... Personally I would braze and then regrind flush then repaint..

  14. The venue gets my vote....so what if we had a slight mix up at breakfast.... we all got fed...yes the toilets posed a possible problem but I personally thought the portaloo was ok just at a poor angle...lol... Go for it Stu...
  15. My tent will actually fit upright in my backpack if needed or across the top....One assumes that clothes etc will be carried in you saddlebags? If its just for the two of you then something light...
  16. In the 30 yrs that I was fixing cars, vans and anything else that had an engine I never had a bearing press....but I did have a heat gun and lots of patience...even something to align a crank with after splitting it can be made up at home with some common sense... You mean the same kind of common sense that makes sure the engine has oil?? Good point .... well made....but we were all young once...
  17. Cruel but truthful....lol

  20. That's a great idea Cheers dude As far as bearings are concerned you do not necessarily have to buy from the honda dealer...get them out and have a look on their sides where you should find a series of numbers. These you can then use to find a match and possibly get them cheaper...
  21. So sort something out.....lol...
