  1. But it isn't rainbow colored...
  2. By the way, you know someone was saying (I think in the thread where you were trying to sell the Tiger) that you can't fit a top box to the Z1000? My mate that has one has said many times that the grab rails are interchangeable with those on the Versys 1000, which can accommodate a top box. If that's what you're into. http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/man-with-pocket-protector-picture-id86503010?s=170667a
  3. Oh man, you're only gonna encourage Hoggs...
  4. All I have is negative shit to say? Please, I've been giving you tips in almost every one of your threads asking about this bike and you never bother thanking any of us for helping out, just tell us that oh hey the problem is sorted without saying what it turned out to be And if it's the model with a tach, I know exactly what the bike is like because they only ever fitted a tach to one model of CG and that's the same one I've got
  5. Oh wow, you're properly butchering that thing
  6. Looks pretty snazzy! Keeping those revs down will all be worthwhile once it's fully run in What's the service schedule like? And the ground clearance?
  7. Full face all the way. Being smacked in the teeth by a branch is NOT a fun experience.
  8. I'm there in spirit(s)
  9. I'm too late to the party but for what it's worth (and future reference for anyone else reading this) Coleman tents are absolutely top notch if you need a good tent on a budget! I've got one of the Darwin series tents (current versions go for ~£75) and it's been stunning. By my count I've had it since 2007, in which time it's done various music festivals, rallies, stag parties, travelled all the way around the American midwest (deserts of south Dakota, woodlands of Yellowstone, wild camping along the Ozark River, etc) and endured every kind of weather imaginable many times over. Finally starting to get a little bit worse for wear, but I certainly feel I got my moneys worth. It was only £35 back when I bought it! Prices these days are horrifying
  10. Fork seals aren't too bad, getting the damping rods out is the main shitter. You can save a lot of money by shopping around for the seals and dustcaps themselves; can't remember which but one or another model of VFR uses the same ones and trust me they're one hell of a lot cheaper just for the joy of not being bought from a BMW supplier. The F650 forum is generally crap and very slow paced, but their FAQ section is a holy bible of F650 repairs, should say which you need: http://faq.f650.com/main.html Re. the stanchions themselves (and clutch cable), 90% of the parts you'll need when fixing up an F650 can be bought from these guys: https://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Home/index.php I rarely found any parts cheaper elsewhere, and certainly never got such good service. I was in a pinch when my bell crank gave up the ghost and didn't have the cash to replace the whole set of bearings along with it - they were kind enough to have a dig through their parts bin and send me the one with the healthiest looking bearings already fitted Turned a £300+ job into a £100 job! Give them a call, they'll sort you out.
  11. Back for a wee but next month to deal with the bikes once and for all and sort some final paperwork, but not for long!
  12. What else in non road worthy? Your aftermarket ignition barrel works fine, right? Is there anything else?
  13. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a good redo of it on Saturday
  14. As Beefy said - no rally for me, I'm at Heathrow travelodge and flying out first thing tomorrow morning!
  15. Outlook is the devil's work
  16. Buyer beware; may or may not be cursed
  17. My last Mac was a top of the line Power Mac G5 bought back in 2005. The colossal "f**k you" of the Intel switch was all the reason I needed to migrate to PC... the machine itself was obsolete within a few years and most of my software didn't work on the new Intel machines, so it made sense to cut my losses and switch platforms. As you say, the dumbing down is absolutely infuriating. And to be honest, it's been a long time now since a Mac offered any genuine advantage to professional creatives; you can always get an equally competent PC for a fraction of the price. I certainly haven't had any reason to look back since going PC.
  18. I gave up on my Mac yeeeeeeeears ago. Filthy, horrible things
  19. Beefy i'm going to sound like your wife right now, But i wouldn't sit on that if you paid me. It'd be the best thing you've ever sat on, I promise He's probably scared it'll cripple him just like his bike cripples its pillions
  20. I'm concerned about the amount of static, last time I was in Colorado my clothes made crackling noises when I folded them
  21. BUT WHERE ELSE CAN I GO TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE THEIR POLITICAL OPINIONS ARE WRONG?!!?!11?
  22. Not these days! All those ruddy hats eat a lot of extra memory My crappy old laptop can't even load a map without crashing out... Even after adding a bunch of performance optimisation mods!
  23. That looks DAMN nice!
