  1. Lets you build simple computers, too. Some people have done some utterly crazy stuff with it... The extent of my personal experience is finding things that look like they took forever to build and wiring them with explosives and pressure sensors then leaving it running in the background and waiting for results That said, it's been a three or four years since I gave it a look - I'd assumed it had died off by now! No idea what your niece and nephew are on about. Glad I could be of help
  2. Not me! I was too busy vandalising the Suzuki stand
  3. What is this CLEAN you speak of...?
  4. Put me down for some hatred grips! Didn't buy bar muffs in the end, just couldn't deal with the indignity of it. They really do make them look SO crap... Plus I'm not sure they'd fit over my knuckle guards. I'll probably bodge something for the longer rides I have over the next few weeks. Cable ties and milk cartons aplenty
  5. Went yesterday, had a good laugh but didn't get as excited as usual about the new stuff... god forbid I might be happy with what I've got for now Also couldn't help noticing that most of the "show deals" were a massive rip off! I'd browsed Ghostbikes and Sportsbikeshop before going there so that I knew what the going prices were for the stuff I was after, and every single item was more expensive then or equal to normal selling price! One set of Wulf MX pants was just over double the price Still, had a good laugh and walked away with some test rides booked for shits and giggles. Oh, and did anyone do that thing in the Suzuki stand where you can win an SV? Bad news... you won't
  6. Niiiiiiice, good find!
  7. Looks pretty swanky! What toad said... maybe add in "and polish frequently" with all those shiny bits!
  8. Disclaimer: 100% relevant
  9. Three social justice warriors walk into a bar. This joke is flawed, because "walk" is ableist; not everybody can walk. Shame on you.
  10. My lad did the free training session and then demanded a Herald. He'll get a twenty yr old CG and like it. They are decent lookers mind. I decided I need a Adventurer or Explorer in my life and wrote off the alternatives. It's going to be the Triumph because of second hand values making it affordable. If I win some cash it'll be the new KTM though, it's a beast. Heralds might not look bad but they're heaps of shit!! My other half did her CBT on one and despised it - and this isn't a "my first bike" experience, this is someone with a full licence back home trying to get a UK one (then giving up because the system is ridiculous). I chatted with the guys at the training school when I went to pick her up and they weren't impressed with the things, apparently the'd had to replace a whole bunch of parts after the first few hundred miles... I wouldn't mind the KTM. I'm assuming we're talking about the 450RR, right?
  11. Shouted at for using the engine braking? Sounds like a shite instructor to me...
  12. They've been out since 2014, this year was just a redesign. Also I don't think he's actually bought it yet, from reading the posts.
  13. Erm... Ollie... Have you met your wife? I tried talking about communism once, it did NOT go well
  14. The important thing is that we all need to rally round and support the monarchy, because if we ever abolish them you can guarantee that the yanks will somehow view it as a moral victory and become even more insufferable
  15. Just started reading this and no offense XTreme but holy heck what a load of crap And why would that be? Where were all the "alpha males" of the previous generation? And if the fathers ran out because they weren't alpha enough, who was responsible for messing them up? Seriously though, yeah the world needs strong people to help overcome the challenges our society inevitably faces. But that article makes the assumption throughout that it takes a Y chromosome to be strong, and that's the kind of mentality that people are really starting to have an issue with. The concept of masculinity has just been caught in the crossfire. And side note: Aren't the "wolves" alpha males within their own civilisations/cultures?
  16. It's a bar at head height that is attached via a cable over a pulley to a weight stack, which you lift by pulling the bar down to your waist. Basic physics dictates that you can't pull down more than your own bodyweight: add even one kilo more than you weigh to the weight stack and it won't budge: you can lift your feet up and swing off the damn thing and nothing will happen. Even without knowing what the machine is you'd have figured that out in a nanosecond when you saw it, but this guy was practically giving himself a brain haemorrhage with the effort, and still the penny hadn't dropped! The sitting pull-down is different, because you can jam your thighs under a roller to pin yourself to the seat and then potentially pull more than your body weight. Ow, I didn't read it properly and thought it was the seated one you meant. I was a little confused as to why you thought it was such a terrible thing Guess you weren't pulling your weight in this conversation! http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/daduntsh.gif
  17. Actually scratch that, most certainly CAN'T do the 16th, for some stupid reason I'm riding to somewhere near London after work that day

  19. If you want to stay sane in the world of post-truth politics, "the pulse" isn't where you need to keep your finger. Your finger has far more important things to be doing. http://pixdaus.com/files/items/pics/2/6/236206_327a8b356dc78df6979f1b4e6ecb0391_mdsq.jpg Image disclaimer for the benefit of millennial idiots who voted for a dead gorilla in the presidential election: Yes the monkey is funny. But that doesn't mean it's clever to base major life decisions around it.
  20. I think Arwen hit the nail on the head. All the scaremongering in the past decade or two about people being prosecuted for defending themselves or their own property have left people worried that they'll be done for assaulting the perpetrator if they get involved. Sad state of affairs! Best bet is to carry a ski mask everywhere so if you do get stuck in you can do so anonymously Holy crap, maybe we really DO need a Batman
  21. DID SOMEONE SAY "STATE SPONSORED RE-EDUCATION"?? Hang on a minute, when did Kitty Genovese die...?
  22. Dunno about walking away, as there's a self preservation factor... but anyone that films it then sticks it on Youtube should be publicly shamed/abused somehow. Maybe install a set of social media stocks in every town square and have a web camera with a 24/7 live feed, then let nature take its course.
  23. I had heated grips on my last bike, they were ok but I tended to just get sweaty palms and cold knuckles! Almost tempted to pick up a pair of cheap bar muffs at MCL this weekend... Dunno if I can handle the shame, though
  24. I normally wonder what they stole I usually assume they're after the person that stole their dignity.
  25. That's the same one as last year, isn't it? No complaints here. Although I did rather like that one with the quiz the year before last.
