I'm pretty sure it's just cowboy places that offer a free re-do for anyone that "fails" the first time as a way to attract business, but don't actually want to have to work for free so they never "fail" anyone

I actually filled my diesel up from empty with Unleaded. Not it was it £70 down the drain (not literally) but i had to drive it home. Not sure how but it choked and stuttered there. Ended up having to drop the tank off the bottom. Well if you're going to put the wrong fuel in you want to put unleaded in a diesel and not the other way round! Fun fact -the freezing point of diesel is quite low and people in hardcore cold areas had to mix in a bit of unleaded to stop it freezing in the tank. I knew I'd read something to suggest that unleaded in a diesel is still pretty damn terrible, so I looked it up - this is from the AA website:

I accidentally dumped the clutch and popped a great big wheelie on my CBT Still gave me the certificate at the end, though... that seemed a bit questionable. So I did the sensible thing and got further training the next day...

Me and my other half spent a few weeks fixing up my old bike and getting it running nicely (no small task for a Chinese bike that's been left standing outside for a year without cleaning or draining it before it went away ) only to have some daft old bint run right over the front of it at a crossroads... other half wasnt wearing proper gear just jeans and a leather jacket, luckily got away with only some serious bruising but now always insist on her wearing ATGATT when riding pillion. Which she hates, and complains about constantly! But that little prang was the wake up call I needed to realise I'd not forgive myself in a hurry if she picked up a serious injury after coming off the back of my bike. Of course, I actually came out of that one way worse; CE2 armour doesn't do shit about hyper-extension injuries
