  1. Well done for ruining the surprise entertainment.
  2. How did I forget Schindler's List?! Fantastic film.
  3. Threads War Game (the 1960s one) Goodfellas Shawshank Terminator Taxi Driver When the Wind Blows and... Columbo - all of them!
  4. You've got the gist of it. Mostly, fitting service items is the reverse of removal so if you can get the old one off, you should be able to get the new one on. See if you can find a Haynes or service manual to make things easier and make sure you've got the right tools and parts before you get cracking. Chuck up any questions you have and someone will likely know the answer.
  5. That looks a bit good. Where did you get the graphics? What oil are you using? Something exotic your local bike place doesn't hold?
  6. How healthy is your battery?
  7. I hope you banged them in the slammer.
  8. I forgot to ask the other day... Why didn't you go for full slicks? I know the SC are mega but if it's a track only bike why would you not?
  9. Didn't the Amateur Transplants do a song about the ladies from the north? I've not got much in the way of work plans for 2016 - should be pretty much a whole year of holiday for me.
  10. I like the lid. My "every day" concern is the chin cup - wouldn't it prevent you from opening your mouth while you've got it on?
  11. Bloody hell mate, you're treating yourself a bit! I'd get a right old bollocking if I tried sneaking that lot past the Mrs.
  12. Simple one from me - some bloke who pulled out of the petrol station with his side stand down heading towards a reasonably quick and tight left hander.
  13. Good luck with the ghosties Stu - thanks for "testing out" possible venues.
  14. I got mine from wemoto - they carry them as stock for 3 or 4 quid a pop.
  15. 'ello, 'ello, 'ello, what's goin' on 'ere then? It's tempting to offer a counter argument to dearest Mr Alexander however I suspect my time would be better spent teaching a donkey advanced jujitsu. Also, given that the lad in the van didn’t come back, can we assume that there was nothing actually worth nicking and make the conclusion perhaps he just thought it was scrap to start with and was just trying to do you a favour by hauling it away? I've stuck stuff out for the scrap lads in the past - saves me the trouble of weighing it in for the poxy few quid I'd get. They seemed reasonable enough to me but then I’ve got this nasty habit of treating people like human beings until they prove themselves to be a turnip. Anyway, I'm off to make nee-naw noises and pretend I'm in an episode of Z-cars.
  16. Is there really a need for another racist diatribe Kevin?
  17. That's a result. Has it got allen bolts round the cap?
  18. Noticed some dodgy transaction on my credit card yesterday so phoned the bank to get it sorted. They cancelled my card and refunded the cash but now I have no credit card for a week. Just what you need immediately prior to Christmas.
  19. Once you've filled it you'll need to bleed it with the engine off. When you start it up you should be able to feel the engine, coolant pipes and rad get warm. If the pipes and/or rad don't start warming up within a couple of minutes or you hear a swishing noise coming from the pump then you'll need to open the nipple a bit to release the trapped air as it works its way around. You can do it this bit with the engine running or not. Squeezing the pipes can help get the air out if you're having trouble. Once things start warming up, any remaining air should vent through the rad cap or expansion bottle depending on your set up but you shouldn't have to touch your nipples from this point on unless you really want to.
  20. I always use the bike stuff that's safe for aluminium - I'd rather pay the few quid extra for piece of mind. You'll need to crack off the nipple when you first fill it (to prime the pump) and then every now and again just to check all is well.
  21. Carpet tape?
  22. I'd stick a tenner in the pot to buy that place. Any other takers?
  23. What about cant?
  24. Just spent 5 mins studying the FJR - looks like the only place to lift from without taking plastic off is the kink in the frame rail.
  25. What about a 1jak Stu?
