  1. Aaaaand another Abba-ite. Sans extendy bar: http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx246/Mr_Fro/IMAG0190.jpg
  2. Hold on a sec dear fellow, no need to tar us all with the same brush!
  3. Quality stuff mate - loving the improvised tools!
  4. Whatever justification or authorisation is needed for the deployment of firearms, I bet there a mnemonic for it.
  5. Very true - my brother is dead set on joining. I've told him about the crushing and frustrating amount of paperwork, the pointlessness of attending another domestic at the same address and the other bits and bobs but he's still mustard keen on it. In all honesty, I did briefly consider re-joining last night in the light of my upcoming redundancy because there were some top times.
  6. Looking at some of the wannabe cowboys in the MET, I'd say probably not. However it would I think be prudent to provide firearms training to a larger number of officers to give extra support to SF in the event of a major incident.
  7. I reckon 284 or 286 - 501 is probably a bit chunky.
  8. This look about right? http://images.cmsnl.com/img/partslists/suzuki-gsf600-1999-x-carburetor-model-s_bigsue0053fig12_e57f.gif 29 is the o-ring 30 is the washer
  9. Probably goes on top of the spring (mine do anyway). See if you can find a microfiche with an exploded diagram to be sure.
  10. What he said! One day I'll invest in some ear plugs. Now and again I also get this whining noise after I get home which can last some time but I'm getting better at ignoring it.
  11. I've been building a little engineering firm on the side for the past year or so. One thing I quickly learned is little advertising equals little business. Fine for me as it's not my main income at the moment. Things come my way in fits and starts - turning jobs away one month then kicking my heels the next so the cash flow fluctuates quite a bit. I would have thought an ad in the paper or a bit of door knocking would see you a bit of clearing work or hedge hacking at this time of year.
  12. Sounds like what I've got on the Volvo. It'll ping pong between the lines of the lane for a bit before it gets angry and makes lots of noise. I had to take mine to a dealer to adjust the aim on my headlights though as there is no manual adjustment.

Me too. You got a link?
  14. Nah, it'd be a case of double nobbery. Now how do I post a link to the bullying thread?
  15. Yep, great stuff. It's a wicked degreaser and the spray has a good bit of power behind it so gets the gunk out of the knooks and crannies no bother.
  16. I've fixed that for you Double fixed.
  17. Can't you just email them?

But to really diagnose an engine leak you need to do a leak-down test. I'd start with the simple stuff before I started ripping the bike apart - coolant, fuses, thermostat, fan, that sort of stuff.
  19. Yeah, the owners of green Kawasaki ZX6r made between 2005 and 2006 are regarded as gods over here.
  20. Can't beat Uno - the game of kings.

Oooh, too much information. You really should nip to the lav before you start turtling otherwise you'll end up with skids in your bundies.

Vintage? Bob you cheeky sod! You can get to the release bar from underneath so you'll have to take the liner out from underneath to get to it.
  23. OP - I lost interest in your post by the second line. Enjoy your camera or whatever.
  24. The best thing. Absolutely the best thing you can do is spend £30ish on a dyno run. That'll tell you what's going on with your fuelling. The next best thing is to read THIS. Be prepared to have the carb off and on a few times before you get it right (ish). That being said, I'm assuming your bike is a 2-stroke so might need to run a bit rich on the midrange a bit to start off with if it's a premix. Someone who knows more about 2-strokes than me (cough, cough, Joeman, cough, cough) might be able to advise better.
  25. And no large loads ever carried by road as they wouldn't fit through the tunnels! Which means they'd have to go by rail. Fewer lorries on the road and a better rail network. I think desk might be on to something here.
