  1. And he's a good looking chap... On a side note - how bored does the officer in the middle look.
  2. There's a bloke like that in my office Hoggs - his nicknames include "the mute" and "I" (as in the I in team) . Sits about 10' from me and we pass each other many times a day yet he will send me an email rather than talking to me plus he cc's people unnecessarily. He does this to pretty much everyone. I just shout the reply to any email he sends.
  3. Very true. Beds police probably wouldn't have to do that if they weren't wasting a massive amount of cash on their new police station thing.

    Rusty Exhaust

    High temperature/exhaust paint.
  5. Wot them boys said. Is it possible you put the shoes back the other way round than you found them when you took it apart first time? That can cause a bit of squeaking as the trailing edge can be a bit sharp on used shoes - it's a good idea to give the leading and trailing edge a bit of a tickle with sandpaper/file if your going to pop the old ones back in.
  6. True - there's a good number of boxy SE6 about and a few SE5A which look similar my old one but the dash was shitty plastic as opposed to the lovely re-trimmed "old English vinyl" one I had. Plus the 5 had a better engine.
  7. Is it disc or drum?
  8. It was! It's the SE5 GTE and there are only a few left (as is count them on the fingers of one hand few). Whoever gets it will have a very rare car indeed!
  9. Just seen my old classic car on EBay here and they've totally f**ked it. The lovely 15" minilites are gone along with all the upgrades I made. I restored that from a heap of crap and made it a very nice motor. Now it's back to being a bag of shite. Sad to see.
  10. Many moons ago when I was even more of a tight arse than I am now, I "reclaimed" some tint film from... well... the bin at a place I then worked at. I dutifully applied it and although it was uncreased when I nabbed it and it looked fine from the outside, it had a ripply effect when looking through from the inside. I ripped it off and threw it back in the bin.
  11. Happy ending?
  12. http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx246/Mr_Fro/_57.jpg Plenty of grease on these boys. Sorry Soll - couldn't resist!
  13. Hold up - isn't that a CZ? If so then the end cut plier-disc brake mod is actually an improvement.
  14. Would ACF50 work on those wheels?
  15. You mean the little tack on the bolt? I'd stick an Allan key in it and give it a try - it only looks to be a tiny tack so might well pop right off.
  16. So long as you plug up any holes (carbs, exhaust, oil, breathers) before you start then I wouldn't worry about getting stuff in the engine. Top tip is use a vacuum cleaner with one of those pointy attachments to take off as much dust and stuff as possible then give the whole lot a rinse with a hose before un-bunging it. Microfiber cloths are great for getting dust off too.
  17. This will sort them out.
  18. Are they going to re-issue the cards or leave them be?
  19. Therein lies a quandary Al - for the purposes of the law (drink driving, traffic rules etc), a bicycle falls under the category of a "mechanically propelled vehicle" yet not VED, insurance or any such thing is applicable. One would at least assume VED would be payable given the vast quantity of pollutants chuffed out by sweaty, farty cyclists.
  20. Don't think bicycles count as vehicle parts/tools Joe.
  21. Cheers Bob, just the thing to take the edge off a turd day at work.
  22. Sod that, waaaay too much effort! I'd use this. One of the best tools I've ever bought.
  23. I would put the other one back in and nip it up fairly tight. Give the knackered one a dose of WD40/similar and give it a sharp tap with a something metallic tomorrow before trying to undo it again with a well fitting driver. Failing that it'd be cutting a slot in the top.
  24. Stay at home? Edit for genius: My great grandma used to put plastic bags over her shoes and head when she went out in the rain. You could do the same with your gloves.
  25. I've had my current leathers for knocking a decade. Not cleaned them once.
