  1. Magnetic tape. I thought it would be good to put a loop of it round my new oil filter to catch any microscopic metal particles that get left in the oil and circulated round the engine. Since I forgot to buy a magnetic sump plug for my bike, I thought this would be a good alternative. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SELF-ADHESIVE ... 1127952725
  2. Change of plan. I have a case of motorcyclus-interruptus. Bugger.
  3. Where abouts are you? I haven't got a route in mind yet
  4. I wouldn't use an oil that didn't have JASO on the bottle but YMMV (literally)
  5. It looks like a good day for it and I feel like blowing a few cobwebs out.
  6. Using oils designed for cars have friction inhibitors in them and can make your clutch slip. Unless you have a bike with a dry clutch, I'd use a motorcycle oil that has the letters "JASO" on the bottle somewhere. http://www.oilspecifications.org/articl ... ASO_MB.php
  7. When did you apply for yours? I'm still waiting.
  8. Personally, I wouldn't. Have you tried reversing the bars so the tops are at the bottom so to speak? Sort of jota style.
  9. If you're a ham-fisted oaf. If you insist on using metal caps, put a tiny bit of copper-slip on the valve thread.
  10. It has to be reflective.
  11. I think you have to have 11mm as a margin of yellow round the edge. As long as you use the proper font, you should be OK with a 7x5
  12. Water pump pliers?
  13. So am I but I thought it might be rude to show off
  14. Bonza! Were you on their "invited" list?
  15. Ha! I'm also 6'2 and have one on my Ninja and I love it.
  16. https://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/motorcycles ... chmentform Seems suzuki took all of our details and we wont be getting our neck tube. I wonder if they'll bother to check. I mean they'll have to cross-reference the invited audience with the claims coming in and that might cost them more than the tubes are worth. I might just put in another claim and see if I can get away with it.
  17. Not my worst but still funny, IMO if you think about it:
  18. To be honest, I'd say "no" because the chrome parts look pitted to me and the other parts look like the need the attention of a wire brush and some black BBQ paint.
  19. Nope, I've done it. I originally used it to get marker pen off a table (don't ask) but it shifts the white powdery stuff you get on ally over the winter. Don't expect it to shine like a chrome finish though because it won't
  20. What state is your air filter in?
  21. Sounds like wheel bearings to me or possibly headstock bearings.
  22. Every 3 months? Wow, I only ever do mine when I change the pads!
  23. Smokers toothpaste works and it's cheaper than Autosol
  24. What Bogof said. Also, if you can't see where the oil's coming from, I'd be inclined to think the oil patch was already there.
