  1. I brake with three fingers, does that count
  2. Sent you a PM Tango. I'll be there with a couple of mates on the 19th and staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby if anyone fancies a drink and a chat.
  3. Some of us already know this
  4. Thanks, too small for me I'm afraid.
  5. Can you give us an idea of actual size? Ie: pit to pit. Thanks
  6. You are quite right and some of them were Lambrettas, so nothing to do with wasps or hornets, I used poetic license. Also for you edification vespa is wasp in Italian the land of the Vespa and Lambrettas birth.
  7. After only being home from Euro travels for two days I was off again with Melanie to Tenby in Welsh Wales via Twigworth near Gloucester. I found a nice parking spot right outside the hotel in Tenby. On the second day I came back to find an infestation of wasps. tomorrow we are off to Llandudno. Here we are in a very sunny Llandudno where they have a Victorian extravaganza weekend going on. All I can say is it's bloody brilliant. Here is a non bike related photo of the George Formby appreciation society doing their thing. There is a fantastic atmosphere and everyone is having a great time.
  8. We stayed Sunday in Ashford, Monday Mons, Tuesday, Wednesday Luxembourg, Thursday Cambrai, Friday March (Cambridgeshire) Saturday home.
  9. Because that's the way we ride, I lead and the rest tend to keep the same order.
  10. I have just returned from the annual French Duffers trip. This year was slightly different, we went to Belgium and Luxembourg before France. Our destinations were Mons Belgium, Luxembourg City and Cambrai France. The photos Bikes outside Premier Inn Ashford The motley crew on the Erutunnel train Enjoying a very large drink, from left to right Glen, John, Richie, Rae and Mike One of our lunch stops with convenient bike parking. We had a wonderful Portuguese meal in Cambrai, and the young man on the far left is the restaurant owner and a nicer and more accommodating person you couldn't wish to meet. This is the tourist train in Luxembourg. There is a commentary in various languages via headphones and very informative it is too. The one comment on the commentary that stood out was the little girl talking about one of Luxembourgs rulers of whom she finishes by saying "and then he shot himself" (bit of an in joke) Another shot of the large beers. We needed two hands to pick them up. Afterwards the barman told the rather inexperienced barmaid that when we asked for large we meant 500ml, "they're not Germans" he said. Richie posing, we told him not to give up his day job. Casements Du Bok Luxembourg Another view of Casements Du Bok Lunch stop Bastogne Richie admiring the Tank parked in the town square Bastogne I was checking the weather on my phone We had two days in Luxembourg, one day off the bikes to enjoy the touristy bits and here we are having a well deserved coffee break. That's it so far if I get any more pics I'll post them up.
  11. Don't worry, it's the UK it wont last long despite what the papers say
  12. We've only had good weather for two days and I'm fed up with it already
  13. This is a kind of "how long is a piece of string" question. You can do as Mike says or sit down with a map or a computer and plot yourself a nice route.
  14. I also bought a pair of Forcefield armoured leggings http://image.ibb.co/iOSS4k/Forcefield_Trousers_zpsb12l31ug.jpg They are a bit of a faff to get on and of if you're a bit sweaty but the armour is plentiful and always in the right place.
  15. Not everyones knees are in the same place, you'll have to suck it and see.
  16. I am sitting on the edge of my seat until next time
  17. The other cables are for various things like traffic dongle, Tyre pressure monitors etc. Just looked at the manual, not tyre pressure monitors but mike input, headphone output and traffic dongle.
  18. I had a pair of Gore-tex trousers shortened recently by a guy that specialises in leather repair but also works on textiles. So if you can find a leather specialist local to you, give them a ring and ask. My bloke charged me £30.
  19. Auto correct gets on my nerves too, predictive text can do some unpredictable things sometimes. I have got into the habit of reading what I have written before hitting send but some mistakes still creep through.
  20. You know Britain only has one "T"
  21. The insurance company should be able to tell you.
  22. I am performing further tests. I'll get back to you. Edit: I have just performed a further test after the first rear tyre inflation and deflated it again and this time the battery gave out at 10psi But I am happy at that, if it can inflate one tyre from flat that'll do for me. It was £33.99 and that was one of the cheapest on Ebay there are more expensive ones, I don't know if the more expensive ones have a more powerful battery.
