  1. Having a selfish X of my own (sad to say like far to many) as a burden to carry, I read this and thought actually yup there is some truth there.... On a lighter note: At about 14 going on holiday with friends, grandad says to me: "Do not do anything I would not do" there was a pause and he followed on with " when you find out what that is let me know!".
  2. If her bra and panties match when you take off her clothes, it wasn't you who decided to have sex.
  3. And so are mirrors as you should always be going fastest and overtaking On a more serious both in cage and on bike for me signalling out for parked cars depends..... Some times I do some times I don't.. Depends on the line of the road/ cars and how much I am repositioning on the road....
  4. OK Guys lets see if you can answer a question that seems the most unanswered I can find on line.... The Bike Yamaha FZ6 Naked 2005 similar to... http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/attachments/fz6-fz6r/50506d1121278956-naked-fz6-pictures-bike-fz6.jpg Have to agree its the best looking screen there is the Yamaha original... My problem is the screen is my red and stands out like a sore thumb, it also has considerable amounts of vertical surface. I think this makes me an easy target for those photography divisions, they have an easy thing to "focus" on (some say I can twist that left hand forward and that problem will go away )... Secondly reason is with cooler weather next time I am on the bike that little bit of an increase in protection would be most beneficial... Can they get my head out of the wind on longer journeys? The best I can find is: http://www.bs-motoparts.com/en/wind-protection/mra-windshield-v-flow-vario-touring-screen-z-incl-fixations-light-smoke-i674-30890-0.htm or http://www.puigusa.com/tuning-bikes/yamaha-fz6-2005/windshield-touring-ii/c171en/f1-r225-m1352/ Can any one recommend or have any experience? With regards to hand guards these are for weather protection primarily. The problem is the handle bars on the FZ6 are rather cluttered. with little space to clip the inboard end on to... I know some will say heated grips I have used them when I was learning and found the tips of my fingers still ended up frozen cold... Again all advice appreciated.. All works I want to be able to undo for prettiness and when I am allowed to move on giving next owner the choice...
  5. Sitting here thinking I should give up.... Then I have 2 Cartons sitting beside me only £15 each that's the next 30 days sorted :/ Still worried I might run out!!!
  6. Now there does leave a clue to all passing something in there is worth investigating .
  7. Thanks for al the advice... RE leaving it in locked garage, and them posting it here. I suppose if some one was that desperate they could track it down it probably more effort than its worth. Its towards the back and would take a little time to get to. The garage is overlooked and watched frequently by a fellow biker. Plus my misses is about as well... If the buggers are going to take it they will get to it one way or another... Interesting no one mentioned cleaning, I knocked the worst of the bugs of gave it a quick wipe down. I forgot to spray some oil on the chain but that is on Scott oiler so fairly well lubed... I have not bothered disconnecting the battery, think cleaning was higher priority. Its only 8-9 weeks max so as long as it starts its fine . Will update in a few weeks
  8. Genuine question guys if you had 2 hours to say good but to your bike for a couple of months. Stored in a garage (with no power) unused unloved what would you do to it before you left....
  9. Not defending or criticising anyone, well maybe the driver because he should be aware of the problem.. Watching the clip, the lorry driver manages to hide the bike from view using his mirror and cab post perfectly. The biker was on the ball stopping early and escaping in time, not certain I would of managed that or just become a bumper ornament.
  10. He needs to spend a day or 2 in the New Forest...
  11. Its a whilst since I have got one... Should be 3 but we did not get that far should of been 2 but my photo's of Sea Lane Cafe has vanished! So The Chalet Cafe it is... http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u654/onesea/Bike/20150716_150634_zpsox1hlppm.jpg
  12. OK Guys, first set of tires wearing out, Actually mainly the front tire near side on the first 1/4 of the round bit near side. Apparently tires often wear there?? Well the question is what do I go for next? 6,000 miles out of my Dunlops. Bike - Yamaha FZ6 How do I ride I am going to say touring maybe a bit sportingly LOL Certainly all weather, wind rain or shine. And 6000 miles in 6 months, during my first 6 months on a bike... Has my tires gripp failed me in the last 6 months, yes Once on gritty roads stopping.... Several times when encountering horse sh1t on corners (on one occasion hidden in a puddle ) I am thinking long life, all weather & not spending to much . Bridge Stone T30 Evo? MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 or 4??? Dunlop ROadSmart II Any others?? Any advice how/ what to I choose....
  13. So do you have to pay extra for the speed cameras then? I was trying to work this out as well.... How well does it work when you cannot see the screen. I often have headset on and cannot see my phone.... Does it automatically re-route if traffic changes? (google is pain for this) Will it warn about speed cameras even if not using it for navigation? Tempted to buy it if all above come out positive....
  14. Mine came through quite quick... Quicker than the V5 for the bike I bought Cost me a very early biking trip to France ....
  15. Co pilot is a handy program to have but. ... Can some one explain the logic, all Road speeds set the same. .. Car: 1h 42m http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u654/onesea/Bike/Screenshot_2015-05-30-06-32-34_zpsfqrrswwd.png Bike: 2h 37m http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u654/onesea/Bike/Screenshot_2015-05-30-06-35-18_zpszjkjnikq.png Sorry but when I want quickest I do not want an extra hour cause I am in the bike. Cannot fault that route given for bike isa nicer ride but nearly an hour slower! ! This glitch and a couple of others mean I tend to use Google. .. Can some one explain. ...
  16. Moo As with my comment about blokes showing there seed (ps it was not me who did that). I was being very extreme, it's just the best logic i can come up with meet. I agree with your comments about needing dad in life is just sad when it costs (emotionally, financially, in time, career, lost wages, lethal costs) so much. These situations become very sad very easily. The real challenge is not to become bitter. ..
  17. video private? ? Thanks moo, your not the only one to say similar. We can only do our best. ... Six 30 I put it down to human instinct. Men meant to go and spread there seed if it's got tits and human, they will shaggy it... women meant to protect child, once farther is no use to mother, he is no use to child and must be removed from child's life (accept with regards to money, obviously that is very different!) Either way we pretty much agree on the end result ...
  18. I feel for you mate... Do you have court order in place RE access... I had this some years ago when I started taking my daughter sailing. Ex wife tried to stop me and was trying to control the activities in my access time. In the end I took the gamble and said the court has placed a court order allowing me access. They have trusted me with the welfare of our child, I can do what I want with the child (legally and within reason). If you do not like the activities we are doing stop the access and I will l take you to court for breach of court order... I have had very few grumbles from X since then.... Although she has made daughter promise she will NEVER EVER go on the back of a motorbike . Then this is the same mum that recently a few years later than the above. Daughter tells daddy mummy was crying because daughter was going to be away on holiday with her daddy. Leaving mummy on her own with younger 1/2 sister, with step dad coming back every evening and mummy was not going to cope on her "own"!! Luckily our bond is still strong enough that daughter can walk away from the tears at 8, but some times I wonder how long this will remain...
  19. This thread caught my eye I am in Hampshire and might be interested, just started riding in October. I might not be the only one either.
  20. Sorry Phil Try a run from Tower Bridge London to Southampton on quickest. Same speeds for roads set in both set for quickest. No active traffic: Car it goes down M4 M3 2h 36m Bike it goes down A3 3h 31m Bike down A3 maybe more pleasant but... When I want quickest I want quickest, a bike is not slower than a car by an hour....
  21. Yup both bluetooth and wired. Can be difficult getting sound levels sorted if your listening to music.. Also it can be disconcerting if your listening to music because your phone stops the music so when it announces "At the next roundabout take the third junction on to B4398 London Road." it then carries on where it stopped it. Which leaves the question how many London roads are there? This weekend I visited countless on my ride round.. Mr Fro: Agree about down loading maps I have done this before but as you say its no good for automatic routing... You also have to watch after a whilst the maps can vanish...
  22. I use google it does not down load maps and needs online but its the best I have found. I do not have it handle bar mounted which can be interesting (2 roundabouts close together is normally fun). I do have CoPilot (paid) but in all honesty I find its routing random and not to my flavor. I know you can drag and drop routes on it but that's what I want. Looking forward to others suggestions...

  24. Have I missed something? Pub names the Crown. I am sure it used to be the Crown & Anchor? Can I score it twice? One as Crown one as Crown and Anchor?
  25. I would say find a good/ friendly school to do you CBT with straight of on gears. You should be able to do it in a day easy, after that you are first off definitely road legal. Secondly the instructor will then have a good handle on your riding skills and will be able to advise. You will also be able to judge yourself if you want to buy a 125 geared to practice on or pay the bit more in lessons to skip that step. It was only the end of last year I found a school that had me for one day training, on second day I sat my Mod 1 on third Day I trained am and I sat my Mod 2. You don't have to take a week to do it, but you have to find the right instructor.
