    I got my RST, fairly recently, from HG, it was just over £100 i think. you really need to try different ones on.

    I had 2 shark helmets, a RS2 then a RS2air. good helmets, i liked them, light, quiet. The triangle shaped plastic bit on the front vent of the air kept falling off though! I've got an RST helmet now, seems pretty good so far

    The old wheel at worfield was on a weds, on that road. now it's held at swancote country club on the same road, still on a weds. don't know of any friday meet though

    If the baffle is ok, is it blowing from the cylinders? look for smoke escaping, put your hands close and feel for leaks, watch you don't burn them though! could be leaking at collector box or any joint. you just need to have a good look till you find it.

    I've voted for newer, the mileage is a bit high on the older 1. I had 2 much older vfr 750's, brilliant bikes! I have read some stuff about the vtec bikes being expensive to service and the vtec being a bit on or off. Can't say from personal experience though. most recent road tests suggest that the triumph is a better bike. still think i'd go for the honda though. ideally you should ride a vfr and the triumph before deciding

    not sure of our travel arrangements yet would think me on bike, sue in car not sure of times yet but could meet anyone who wants guide on route. i go, A5 telford,A38 through Derby,M1, M18, M62.

    use small chisel or similar and hammer, tap bit that's left outside, see if whole lot will turn. you don't really want to drill right through it, as you said, debris in cylinder. you could try drilling down, without going right through, see if you can get extractor in. could weld nut to it but i suppose there's no access good luck!

    I don't understand where it's broken! Can you show a pic? if the hexagonal part that you normally turn is still there, just undo as normal.

    i often ride in jeans! especially if going to work or back. all this gear is a fairly recent thing! in my youth everybody wore jeans, trainers, leather jacket. i'm not saying it's right or clever but i enjoy the freedom!, my choice! also, no-one has mentioned the best bit of safety equipment of all !!! your brain!, ride safely and don't fall off in the first place!

    For those coming on train!!! There is some sort of industrial action going on affecting trains today and monday! Not sure about Sat, perhaps you should check. See you all tomorrow!!! I still don't know who, if anybody, I'm meant to be meeting at J2M5.
