  1. Up to what speed? The most I have had the bottle to do was 107.
  2. Some may disagree but I picked up a pair of intercoms on eBay for £60. Not had any problems so far and they do the job well enough... clear audio, simple to pair up, battery life is good, signal distance is more than enough for my needs. Of course, if your budget extends to get something more known then why not!? But I'm just saying that the cheaper ones can work just as well.
  3. I'm sure these may be widely known of by now but if you are not familiar with the concept of Airless Tyres then watch this video first;- https://youtu.be/gkeTnS9e8_U What's everyone's thoughts on these things? They look ugly but being able to have them in a range of colours could look nice with the right design choice. Could you also imagine these on motorcycles? I think they will look better if there was still a layer of rubber on the side with the inside tyre wall just exposed to the underneath of a vehicle, giving the effect of a 'solid' tyre like we have now. This won't look that great on a motorcycle though....
  4. Me too! I thought I was the only one... You will be surprised how many 40 year-olds I know who play video games. I don't think it's a fair way to judge someone by their pass times or hobbies.
  5. Just asking out of curiosity. I know it's not for everyone. I'm mostly on PC unless I'm throwing my life on Destiny on the Xbox.
  6. Weather is starting to show a nicer side and was thinking of getting out on the bike tomorrow to make use of it. I'm located in Eastbourne but am willing to travel to a reasonable distance locally, or meet somewhere in the middle. If this develops any interest, I look forward to meeting new faces.
  7. we always appreciate people posting here, but it is a bit hit and miss what people need at any given point. Don;t take it personally I can agree with that! Thanks for the reply.
  8. Thought this would of shifted by now.... Am I coming in to hot? Not the best place to advertise?
  9. I'm sure many have seen this already but for those that haven't, Twist of The Wrist 2 is now available on YouTube.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t0vUr5oUdNM Watch it fast if your interested because to get a full length film like this on YouTube is rare.
  10. I have only ever gotten my gear from the same dealership I got my bike from (JS Gedge). Except for my first pair of bike boots which I got from Amazon becuase Halfords didn't have my size in stock. I'm a strong believer in going to a store and trying stuff on just to make sure it's gonna be a good fit and feels "secure". I'm not saying you can't get good deals online, that's just my preference.
  11. Thanks for the replies so far! I'm getting mixed directions though on exactly how far I can go with the ACF50. I have seen others dismantle everything that can come off the bike and just spray wildly, and then there are others who apply it sparingly and with precision.
  12. Firstly, I just got some ACF50 and I never used the stuff before. Is there anything I should know when using it? For example:- any areas I should avoid? any areas commonly missed that should have it? any areas that are a must? Apply it with a brush? Secondly, the dealership I took my bike too today to purchase the ACF50, was rather disappointed in the condition of my chain. It was fairly rusty looking even though it was only very early stages of corrosion. They happily placed it on a paddock stand and applied some chain lubricant. All is now well again! How often should a chain be lubricated? I hadn't ridden the bike for about 3 weeks so I can understand why it got into the state that it was, but let's say I use the bike daily, should it be lubricated weekly? Thanks in advanced for your replies. I'm fairly savvy with cars but maintaining a motorcycle is new to me so I want to get educated to get the most out of my machine.
  13. Was originally purchased to go on my CBR500R but I don't own the bike anymore. No longer boxed but still was unused and unfitted. Black. Comes with two keys and fitting instructions. Brand new condition, £100 or near offer?? Not sure what postage will be yet but your welcome to collect it in person instead and I will make it cheaper if you do that. Located in Eastbourne. This is the exact same one I'm selling here... http://www.motea.com/en/Default.aspx?TY=2&ST=1&IT=142346&currency=GBP&gclid=CjwKEAiAlNbEBRCv9uy4j4SWrgwSJAB5MqJFBppp_Nw-TfAz09VJLdcUhlJqpXtg32vnmbj-YdbjORoCDFXw_wcB
  14. I personally use my leathers for summer riding and textile gear for the winter. My current Kevlars are looking tired. I must get some new ones.
  15. I'm located in Eastbourne, East Sussex. I do have family and friends stationed in South East London and Kettering. At some point I would like to attempt the bike journey to those places. Usually taking some A roads (A27) then on the M1 and M11 etc. I have never ridden on a Motorway yet so I'm just curious to know what to expect on such long journeys and what type of "idiots" I can expect to encounter. I'm not a novice to using the roads, just new to using two-wheels on them. Any advice will be helpful.
  16. I know this stuff is easily found on eBay at good prices but I just wanted to try the forum before I did that, just in case anyone had some lying around going cheap that they haven't used.
  17. Why do I want one? Just a nice feature. A little like a SatNav, there are not essential when you have road signs directing you but it's nice to have (just my opinion). You didn't just compare a gear indicator to a sat nav! A sat nav is not just a little feature it is much much more than that Anyway if you want one get one but you will wonder why you wasted your money on it! you will always try to find that extra gear Some of them don't even work when stopped depends on the bike I don't disagree entirely. I suppose I could of given a better comparison, but I was trying to highlight that it was just a preferable part to my riding and not everyone would use one like myself. Back on topic... thanks for the info. I will have a look around and make a decision sooner or later.
  18. Why do I want one? Just a nice feature. A little like a SatNav, there are not essential when you have road signs directing you but it's nice to have (just my opinion).
  19. If so, are they fairly simple to install? I know they are not essential but it's an optional extra that I wouldn't mind having. I would also like to know if they are worth spending the extra cash on for a good quality one or if some hase purchased a cheap £10+ job from eBay and has had good results.
  20. Forgive me for asking... but what is the position 1,2,3 stuff?! I got taught none of this and passed me MoD2 without anything like that being mentioned. It's almost as if the DVLA/DVSA can't agree on their own requirements for a pass.
  21. What model was it? CBR500R ABS 2014 When did you buy it and how much did it cost? November 2016 for £3,500 Good points? Great entry level bike for new riders who have just passed their Module 2. It's very forgiving and you always have a sense of "speed" even at slower movements. A nice size for shorter riders around the 5.2ft mark. I got short legs too so it's nice to be flat-footed when stationery. Bad points? It almost feels like it tries to hard at times. This could be down to how you ride the bike but I found that after 65MPH, it almost begins to run out of breath and the acceleration begins to fall. It's a twin engine so power usually comes on earlier than three or four-cylinders. Would you get another? Yes. Any other comments? None at this time.
  22. Sorry, didn't see this message until it was too late. I'm currently away visiting family in Kettering. I'm mostly out everyday for a reason or another on the bike, so we can go a ride at some point soon.
  23. Great stuff! I'm not completely alone then.
  24. Nice new lid you got there! I want one of these...
